it is in my post above i linked it all check it out, but its $20 for the flasher and its great i have done numerous jtags with it, superfast and reliable. btw sorry sneaky for sorta derailing your thread...
assembler since the opus is basically a falcon with no hdmi you can just follow the hdmi tutorials for the jtag wiring *the SPI wiring is the same across all revisions* http://pictures.xbox-scene.com/xbox360/free60/diagram.jpg that should help mate
Seems my notebook doesn't push enough power to usb. Detected but win 7 won't let me install the unsigned driver... Have to try on the vista box.
The kit uses two diodes, they are not included in the kit and cost under $2 more. One of the pinheader eyes was malformed, so I just scuffed the eyelet and tacked it to the top (red wire). All the others are through the eyelets. I removed the grilling to enhance air flow for the fans. I had some old auto paint around, so gold it is.
I used a scythe fan instead of a smaller fan due to noise. The scythe fan is taller and I had to cut the top grill away on the shielding, but it's silent and shifts as much air as the noisy small fans. I just tacked it on with hot glue. If it ever gets hot enough to melt it, the 360 is garbage by then anyways. The fan uses a small disconnect so I can detach it from power when I remove the bottom panel. I reused two 80mm fans I had, they are scythe. Quiet and push a lot of cfm. I had to use 80-60mm adapters. They were hard to get and were clearance for $0.99 but the colors didn't match. The wires were already covered in shrink tubing so wiring was a bit unpleasing aesthetically. It's inside an unseen so who cares.
Hey man you HAVE to have the PSU plugged in, but DO NOT turn on the xbox. You always have to have the PSU plugged up, but just don't hit the power button with the usb spi connected. Thats why you are not detecting your nand. Hawk
It doesn't mention that at all in the instructions or on the site. however it does say in huge letters not to power it on while connected. Just being cautious.
