Just obtained Resident Evil 4 Review / Debug Disc 1

Well in 2-3 days, I am getting $1,000 so I have no problem paying for it. I only wanted bandwidth fees. I'll won't be releasing it though, few people got upset at me for this whole thing. lol

 

Think about me if you ever change your mind. Im always willing to donate to see something new from my beloved resident evil series coming to daylight.

 

Wow! Really exciting to see yet another Biohazard-related rarity pop up out of the blue like this! Shame there's no longer going to be a fundraiser to get it released though...

I can completely understand not wanting to release it from a personal point of view, but when you said "(a) few people got upset at me", I started having images of sensitive documents and government coverups!

 

Don't get too excited djandy, there are a few people known to have various RE4 builds (not 3.5). Usually, if someone doesn't want to release it, its because it's been passed around through too many hands and suddenly, someone doesn't want to get in trouble or make someone mad.

 

Exactly this. I already got into trouble for just posting pictures about it. I don't plan on ruining anything for me.

Crazy stuff indeed! I mean, at the end of the day these are all pre-release versions of games we have no legal right to possess, so just makes me wonder where the whole rule set regarding making public releases came from in the first place. Still, as a collector myself, I could imagine what it must feel like to have one's prized possession devalued by creating a copy for everyone...

What is wrong with Resident Evil that it attracts this element? Honestly, I have never seen a single series with so many bottom feeders.

I hope everybody continues to get off on possessing things that other people don't have access to.


EDIT: I don't even like RE. It's the whole idea of this thing.

 

If you've ever seen my other 2 threads about my copy of Dark Souls Preview/Debug and my modded Dead Rising 2 debug, you'll see that I don't flaunt my collections. I was contacted I shouldn't be showing or sharing this. Stop being a foolish child.

 

More Resident Evil drama..... It's just a Review build, various others should still exist but then again it's Resident Evil we are talking about. The franchise where people pass around and continuously sell the same build to a ton of people to gain money then to only bitch about not leaking it when they are imminently causing it to!

You shouldn't be withdrawing it because people are complaining to you but since you have, it implies that you know it's a build being passed around therefore, you have to keep it quiet since you're not the original owner to legitimately sell it. If so, disc pictures? I'm quite confused but what the hell....

You didn't miss much. Just showing debug functions. Honestly, debug only ever fascinated me finding out about it in Sonic 3 years back when I was a kid. i don't see the big deal with debug copies of many games, though. Unless it were an earlier version of the game. But the final with just a bunch of debug functions that pretty much add up to stuff most people will never understand, and other stuff you can achieve just as well through cheat codes? Not too interesting.

 

So, out of interest what would this be worth? People talking about the money side of things like it would be alot of money to get?

This is just my guess but probably no more than $1000. As a comparison the Biohazard alphas were worth around $2000 each, I believe one of the GBC Biohazard cartridges was secured for closer to $3000, so you can see how valuable early and unreleased material is compared to something like a review disc. I'm sure these two discs are still very valuable to collectors but it don't think they're the most valuable RE items we've seen before.

 

So... what about alternate costumes? just RPD cop?
