Anonymous is devoid of humanity, morality, pity, and mercy.

Dude, c'mon, you believe in that shit? and I mean both hell and the 'price' for committing suicide.

Yeah, if the bullshit propagated by the church was true hell would already be crowded by both, cool and gruesome people. Hitler would be there just like Galilei. Hell wouldn't differ too much from earth, would it

I call this superstitious crap! And even more bullshittier is that suicide is a sin! Weird middleage talk if you ask me. In fact, people who see so few reasons to live that they commit suicide should go to heaven first class.

    Agreed.
We had several examples for that in history (witch burnings, guards in concentration camps/prisons, soldiers in war) and the internet will not be the last. Youtube comments are often pretty aggressive and lack a huge bit of respect, I don't even know how often I got insulted with ALL kinds of words for a critical comment on some video. At least this shows off that we are the cruel latest product of evolution and absolutely unique. There is no other race who enjoys sadism so much. We are scum :D

    So very, very true.

Really??? thats a little cold, bro. This kid obviously had some serious problems. Could he have found help and maybe a way to make life worth living for him??? probably, but it is HIS life and i feel that if he was that unhappy about being alive he had every right to take his own life. RIP buddy, and all the best to his family and friends over their loss, hopefully knowing that he is at peace finally will help them through their hard times.

I read in Dantes Peak if you kill yourself you go to hell and turn into a dead tree that bleeds blood.

Dantes Peak was a really weird story, I think in it the very bottom of Hell literally WAS frozen over, and Satan was encased in Ice up to his neck or something. There were also some other things, like the first levels of Hell not being that much different from Earth, and otherwise nice people that were Atheist or philosophers were on this level. And Witches and Sorcerers and murderers, betrayers, etc were on the very lowest pits.

I feel bad for the kid, but I firmly believe that suicide is a terrible thing. Not that I'm a bibliophile and think that it's a sin, but think about it - by killing himself, this person must have created a hell of grief in his family. Killing yourself is pretty selfish, while you escape a shitty existence you make everyone around you have an even more shitty life. And in this case, he gave a bunch of fucking /btards some satisfaction.

I hope this leads to regulation. THis shit might become common and thus....very scary and fucked up.

if you want people to see you die at least have balls and do it in a crowded street in a busy city.

    Pussies.

A conversation recently came up at my place of work. If you could choose the method of your death, how would you want to go?

I'd explode in the middle of a daycare.

I can't see this as anything but very sad.

The people who made rude comments during and after haven't lived long enough to know he was just a kid. Had he just hung in there for a few more years he would have made it. Not everyone takes pain to such extremes but that just underlines the pain he must have felt.

Many of those closest to him will feel guilt forever. Reliving the past few days and conversations over and over with different outcomes. I feel for him in the days before he died. I feel for his family in the days to come and I feel for those who leave cold statements thinking they will never be on the other side of this story.

The concept of suicide as a sin was created in the middle ages, not exactly "biblical".

Back then life for most humans was terrible, beyond anything we see today, so when the concept of heaven spread all over europe so did suicide. People killed themselves to stop the pain, hunger and misery they had to endure every day for the rest of their lives.

The church saw that at that rate they would be left without anyone to pay "the tribute" (ie: why the vatican is almost made of gold). So, the clergy decided to make suicide a sin, basically as a stopgap measure.

I think all people should worry more about the little time they have on earth and less about what happens after.

i didn't read all the posts...

    i'll say this.

the kid posted on 4chan. He said he was going to do it.

    Some of us watched.

    My self included.

the pills he took, and the amount he took. wouldn't kill someone. That's why a lot of people said take more. etc.

yes people are low. I didn't see it all. I told him to not do it.

lot's of times people say they'll "an hero" on stream and they don't deliver. no one takes it seriously until people do. and even then - some still don't take it seriously.

unfortunately this isn't the first time i've been wrong place wrong time on the internet to witness a live suicide...

I remember one a long time ago, like 4 years ago, where this one kid overdosed of a live camera feed similar to this one. His last words were "im so hardcore," and that became an internet meme for a while.

I hate the internet. Why am I still here?

That's Dante's Inferno, you're thinking of. That's essentially what Christians in the middle ages believed, but there's really no scriptural basis for it.

As for this kid, well somehow I think he still would have killed himself even if there wasn't a webcam around. The only people really who can feel guilty are his parents, for not spotting such behavior earlier. But in the end we're the ones who have to take responsibility for our own lives. Tragic, but that's how it is.

For the record: Assassination: Lincoln or Kennedy style

    or be nuked...

Anyway, it's sad and tragic that he killed himself, yes. However, I think suicide for the most part is a selfish act. The only time it is not is if you are SAVING someone and to do so would mean death for you as a result. That's the ONLY noble suicide...sacrifice for the lives of others.

I can sympathize with him though, I went through shit when I was a teenager that made me contemplate it seriously. I thought the world was in no need of me and I was only there to take up space and air. However, I realized this isn't the case, not for anyone. Life is painful, but that's just it, life is also good. Live life to its fullest extent and do not take a cowards way out.

All he did was bring more pain to his family and satisfaction to tards on the web. Again, I feel where he is coming from, but suicide is not the answer, and it's a damn shame he couldn't deal a little while longer until he saw that.
