Quick update, The files are still downloading. We're up to 7.5GB on the main folders, 6GB on the Killer7 Source Code. I'm thinking we'll have around 20GB+ of data in the end and my servers going as fast as the original server can handle. This may take a day or so to finish, I've had it downloading since 9:30AM and it's almost 5PM here so bearing that time in mind I reckon it might be done tomorrow around the same time. My next worry is Mega only allows files under 10GB compressed before they limit/force you to pay so I might have to do split archives over different hosts. If anybody would be willing to torrent I can supply a direct private link (when downloaded) until the torrents out. If not it'll likely be split archives on filehosts. Another thing, Some of the files I've seen are as new as 2013 this would tie into Assemblers "Older than 4 years" rule. So I would remove this content until next year sometime. Lastly, From what has been downloaded so far we can possibly create up to 3 Killer7 builds, Final, Debug1 & Debug2. (Then 3 builds for each region on top so 9 builds!) There's source code to enable a debug menu too.
That's awesome thank you. When it's finally downloaded/checked I'll zip up and PM you a private direct link. I'll also see if I can compile the source code so we get a playable debug build. (When it's downloaded. )
That's awesome! About those files from 2013, are they part of any build as well or unrelated to them?
Seems to be a custom capcom one. Not a problem, My server doesn't get much use anyway. Upto 8.2GB on the Killer7 source now and 9.6GB on the whole lot/rest.
I just wanted to mention that if it actually is possible to compile this into something that would run on Dolphin, I would appreciate if someone could give me some step by step instructions on how to do so.
Don't mean to be rude, but I doubt anyone will have the patience to hand-hold an absolute noob through the whole process from setting up a GC dev environment to how some specific game needs to be built. If you've already managed to at least get as far as compiling a few of the demos that come with the SDK yourself, that's another thing.
I can imagine if the source is able to be compiled the resulting builds will undoubtedly be uploaded here. A lot of people are gonna be more interested in the end product (potential debug builds) rather than tinkering with the source itself. Me personally though, very excited for the source code and trying to get it to compile! I have a GC build environment set up so if @Demon hooks me up i'll give it a whirl and get them upped here if he doesn't do it first.
As I had mentioned in my first post, I would like to see the game running at 60fps. Aside from that, I don't really care too much about compiling it. As for rso's response, you would know better than me, but is the process of setting everything up really that complicated that it would such a pain to list how to do it?
In that case, could you not find out yourself? How do you presume other people learn how to do things?
I would guess that the people who learned how to do it have spent countless more hours than me on programming in general, and are able to figure out how to do it with instructions that I wouldn't find so clear. There might be some guides already out there related to compiling Gamecube demos, but I'm not so sure that they would be enough for me to actually figure out how to compile this game specifically. At this point, I wouldn't even try to compile a Gamecube demo because I don't know for sure that this game actually can be compiled, even though I'm guessing it can. A guide similar to this is what I would be looking for, but perhaps that is too much writing for someone and maybe it actually is considerably more complicated than this. http://mrdo.mameworld.info/compile.php
I guess if there's no public document on how to set up a gamecube developer enviroment someone will do it sooner or later, charity or payment, only the right motivation is needed. But I feel that's a topic for another subforum. Right now, we can only wait for Demon to finish the download and see what we can get at all.
^ This. "Can you learn me a new computering thang" usually really quickly devolves into "click there, then there, don't ask why because I haven't got all day, then there...". Learning by doing (and only bothering others when you're stuck) works best imho. A lot of things in life are actually straight forward and simple but people are too scared/lazy/whatever to even try. Hi, I didn't saw any xbox libraries files in the folders. So compiling for xbox will not be possible without the specific libraries. But let's wait for the datas to be sure of its content
It's still downloading, Noticed a few files didn't download so running two more downloads to make sure all files are there as we can't get a full list sadly. Got around 13GB currently just for Killer7. A staff member here has also started a download so once I am done we'll compare. The program I am using only does 1 file at a time which is slowing things down. It cannot, This is GameCube only source code. It can only be compiled into a .GCM GameCube image.
