KoF2000 Authentication Program: PHOTOS ADDED Beware of sales under market value It has come to our attention that a seller in France has recently sold two copies of the English KoF2000 cartridge to two different buyers, for less than the current market value. There is also concern that the manual wording is not as sharp and words are not lining up with the official licensed NGF version, and the insert is not as brilliant and detailed. (reproduced copies of Metal Slug, Metal Slug 2, Double Dragon, Blazing Star, Ninja Masters, and Kizuna Encounter have all surfaced from France) Verification Program NGF has been offering a verification program that authenticates and protects the integrity of the official KoF2000 cartridges and owners. Certificates, Holographs, and Title Registry Upon valid authentication, we issue a Certificate of Authenticity, a Certificate of Ownership (titled with the owners name), and issue 4 special Holographic serial number stickers (#001-#100) to the Certificate, cartridge, insert, and manual (all numbers matching). The owners name is registered in the NGF archives for posterity, reference, and historical provenance ownership of each cartridge. **Beware of KoF2000 English Edition cartridges being sold without the proper documentation!!!! KoF2000 English cartridges should include the following: NGF authenticity stamp on the insert NGF distributor sticker on the cartridge Certificfate of Authenticity Certificate of Ownership Title 4 special Holographic serial number stickers (on the CoA, cartridge, back of the insert, back of the manual) All owners should have their cartridges verified and authenticated. This is a FREE SERVICE to the initial owners. FOR YOUR OWN PROTECTION Be careful when buying a KoF2000 English Edition cartridge if it does not include all the proper documentation!! **Since the verification program is fairly new, some people have not yet seen the certificates (over 40 people have already participated and have received their certificates). **UPDATE: PHOTOS ADDED** KoF2000 English edition: #001 and #004 Caveat Emptor As digital printing continues to get better, we see more and more reproduced inserts, manual, and stickers of many rare games such as Metal Slug, Double Dragon, Quiz Chibi, Turfmasters, etc... We have also seen reproduced copies of the rare KoF2000 English edition. With today's technology, it is very easy to forge documents and even receipts claiming "a lost stock" of Kizuna Encounter (or any other cartridge) was found. The KoF2000 verification program provides certificates to assure owners that their copy is the official and licensed edition, and not some cheap reproduction or homemade edition. .
I think acceptance of the game (and completeness) should be just as how it was sold originally. It's unfair for you to add all the other things many, many years later, and then say all copies should have them or tell people to be aware of the ones that don't.
Noone gives a copulatory act you ladies front bottom. Stop using this forum like your own personal lovemaking pr machine. Faeces eater. Your attempts to achieve some sort of relevance are pathetic. In a way I pity you. Oh, and wtH has this, or any of your posts, got to do with dev? Development forum, not 'I tried to skank other person's hard work and IP' forum. And for less than the current market value WTH? Whatever someone is willing to pay / sell for, never a set figure. You'd have to pay me to own your waste games, but hey, keep pleasuring yourself to sleep each night over the glory you've never had. Edit - removed expletives, still think Dion is poo.
Isn't all that really matters if SNK made parts are in the cartridge? Seeing how common conversions are in NeoGeo it would seem to me the main concern would be paying a bunch of money only to find out it is some chinese or homemade bootleg with flash chips or eproms rather than appropriate MaskROMs. But then again NeoGeo has insane prices and perceived values when it comes to AES.
I believe a lot of NGF carts do actually have eproms. Most of their 'special' carts. Essentially they were bootleggers for a lot of their stuff. Will do Assembler, sorry for the foul language. At least I'm open about my loathing for these fools though.....
Well even SNK carts can have some EPROMs. Usually the P ROMs or M1 ROM which contain program code. Unless it's a prototype it should always have MaskROMs for C ROMs and V ROMs. The lack of MaskROMs essentially means anyone could have made it.
NGF carts are official and licensed from SNK. All cartridges were purchased directly from SNK-Japan and use Mask Rom chips. NGF is doing what no one else ever has, personal verification of high dollar games with a Certificate of Authenticity and Certificate of Ownership for the KoF2000 English Edition. This thread was made to make more people aware counterfeit copies and to also inform people of this amazing new verification program. .
Neo geo collecting just gets more complicated by the day. They're not kidding when they say they are real hardcore collectors.
Over 40 people sent in their carts for the verification program. So far, 3 have been confirmed fakes. (and two more have been confirmed by photos) Problems with the KoF2000 English Edition being sold from France Duplicate NGF stamp of authenticity The NGF authenticity stamp looks very similar, but it is not the original NGF stamp. They made a duplicate of our NGF stamp. Most people wouldn't spot this. This can be clearly noticed when compared to our original NGF authenticity stamp. Duplicate NGF Distributor Sticker The NGF distributor sticker is too square. (this is also a reproduction). Can only be noticed when compared to an original NGF distributor sticker. Manual discrepancies Manual staples are not int the correct areas (they are to high and too low). The biggest giveaway: the last sentence word "television" should end in the far right corner, not in the center. They forgot to type "NEO GEO HOME SYSTEM CONSOLE," and thus the sentence ends in the middle of the page. Errors soon fixed?? As the counterfeiters learn of these details, they may print new manuals to correct their errors. With that in mind....DO NOT BUY a KoF2000 English Edition cartridges from anyone if they do not have the Certificate of Authenticity and Certificate of Ownership, and the 4 special holographic serial number stickers!!!! Registered and archived The certificates can not be duplicated because every Certificate of Authenticity will have a special distinction and each KoF2000 provenance and ownership history is registered in the NGF archives. .
Dion , Your Verification Program are false project for sell some new more cart kof 2000 us !!! You cleam "over 40 people sent their carts for the verification program" , but it's just a lie for introduce 40 new kof 2000 US in the market ! Everyone should know that you reprint again some false kof 2000 us ! Your false Verification Program are discovered ! :flamethrower:
You're mistaken. The certificates go directly to the owner of the cartridge. We are not selling any KoF2000 cartridges. We are simply offering a verification program for owners of the cartridge. We also send out Letter of Authenticity to people who send in photos of their cartridge. Although not as important as having the Certificates, the LoA is the next closest thing and will give the owners and/or the sellers'buyers peace of mind in knowing their cartridges is original and licensed. .
Why does this program sound like a way to "freak" other SNK legit KOF 2000s? Like the ones you missed or something or some kind of legacy refresh program.
Do you have all your posts typed in word or something? You must repeat yourself more than someone with dodgy guts after a chowder mash. I suppose that's all you have to offer though. Dare I say it I'm actually lessening in anger towards you...more pity now like a wounded pet that has to be put down. Now that's a happy dream....CUNT!
