Only 100 currently exist, from the sound of it 100 more could easily exist by the end of February. At the very least I wouldn't go cheap with PCB manufacture or part sourcing. No glop top garbage and everything that could be stuck on a maskrom would be stuck on a maskrom. Am I correct in my judgement that all this amounts to is NGF thumping its chest and collectors cowering in fear that their overpriced cart is about to become worth considerably less? Economics is a bitch and black markets are virtually inevitable when you attempt to strangle the market.
I was thinking that too, that the Japanese version would be worth more since it wasn't tampered with. And I agree with the last part too. This whole thing about verification seems to be something to try to drive up or justify high prices or just general attention whoring. I'm not sure what it is but recent posts have shifted things, you seem reasonable and have good answers and explanations where as Dion is just a nonsensical mess or just ignores or refuses to answer things.
Noticed that myself, probably because the earlier posts Dion made looked like press releases because they were informative in nature. As time went on Dion is continuing to write like a PR type that only knows how to write press release type documents even if he is writing his mother about finding out that he has lymphoma. I'm guessing he is refusing to acknowledge some questions very existence due to not having a canned answer to put out that is longer than a sentence and actually covers the topic without dodging it. When he is nonsensical is when he attempts to move out of PR mode and ends up flopping like a fish that just found itself stuck on some boat. Heading in bold, weird period at the end after the period denoting the end of a sentence which you'll notice is in all of his posts if not a sizable majority for no apparent reason. Avoiding the question by claiming that Vegas is popular so why wouldn't you want to visit with the claim that meeting him in person is actually better than meeting Sarah Palin or people who are proud to boot cars. Vegas sucks unless you're a gambler, enjoy shallow hell holes, or you've never been there and want it off your bucket list. Quite frankly my interest in seeing a donkey show in Tijuana far outweighs my desire to set foot in Vegas. Classic Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Is English not your native language or is that some sort of frat thing?
His recent new thread look to have the only goal to draw attention and controversy. He like to have all that attention and creating all this drama. I guess he have nothing better to do with his life. We should all really start to just ignore him. That way he won't get what he looking for.
I'm very reasonable, thanks for the compliment. If you have any questions regarding the Neo-Geo, I'm sure I can answer them for you. I'm glad you see my side of the coin, you guys are all entitled to your opinions. I actually feel really bad about my falling out with Kevin over this, but my friends and myself fell victim to Dion's shady business tactics, and I can't stand by while a scammer injects his bullshit in your community. Imagine trying to get a refund from someone with his attitude.
I'm sorry things didn't work out between you and Kevin. While I can't exactly defend the way you go about it, I don't think there's any doubt that you step up for the Neo Geo community every time. I would agree with APE. It's kind of strange how everything Dion writes is answered in press-release style. If what was written was actually informative and factual, I could probably tolerate it a lot more. But since a large portion of what he writes seems like fluff or has no berrings on the questions or subjects being talked about, it's hard to give him a fair shake. Especially when it's all dancing around questions without any real hard facts.
That's the main difference between NGF and the rest of the Neo Community. I do have abrasive tactics, but they work. Instead of giving any form of informative rebuttal to my claims, Dion just says I'm wrong, he's right and points to the SNKP press release that says nowhere that they are allowed to sell reprinted inserts. The post I made about the NGF KOf2K above is factual. But Dion insists that it's a made up story - and will refuse to provide any documentation that suggests otherwise. Why is that game the only release in Neo Geo history to carry a 3rd party reseller logo? Surely NGF would have some emails or papers that flat out say "SNK has given permission to NGF, allowing them to use their DBA logo on our game." But they can't - and will make every excuse on why they shouldn't or can't. Or they do and I have to go to Vegas to get it. It's been proven to be a counterfeit countless times. Not one time has NGF proven without a doubt that the game artwork was authentic. Which is why it remains a grey area. I can talk and answer questions all day long. If you guys have any questions regarding the Neo Geo, lmk.
I'll try to answer these, but you keep ignoring the full details and facts of the case between playmore and NeoGeoFreak. alleged, frivolous lawsuit, NGF wins, settlement offered, press release issued First off, the charges were "alleged." Second, we won the case and playmore offered us a nice settlement. The settlement also included playmore issuing a press release stating all NGF corrected inserts are official and done with the permission if SNK-Japan (something playmore was unaware of when they purchased the IPs from Aruze). Here's the press release link: http://web.archive.org/web/20050208171535/http://www.snkplaymore.jp/information/en_press15.html http://web.archive.org/web/20050208171535/http://www.snkplaymore.jp/information/en_press15.html quote from playmore press release: the video games on the list below, and only those video games, were purchased from SNK Corporation Japan, and were sold by Neogeo Freaks/NGF USA with the permission of SNK Corporation Japan. These games were sold by Neogeo Freaks/NGF USA with the corrected English AES inserts with the permission of SNK Corporation Japan. So your statement about the press release not stating we were allowed to offer the NGF brand of corrected inserts is fale. Not even close to what happened. Confidentiality Agreement Clause No one but NGF and SNK-Japan know how the deal happened. Not just that deal, but all our deals. Not even snkusa was allowed to know of our transactions and deals because we had a confidentiality agreement clause with snk japan. Thus, the reason playmore failed with their attempted case, (they were unaware of the agreements). The full documents were provided in court as per the discovery process and judge's orders. We didn't use a lawyer and we still won our case. All done Pro se As I stated above, we do have the agreements and they were presented as evidence in court. We won our case, received our settlement, and playmore issued the press release stating NGF and our NGF Corrected inserts are official. details ordered sealed Other details have been ordered sealed as part of the settlement. These were requested by playmore. People should know that I would enjoy bragging and publicizing the details of the settlement and case, but I will not violate a US Federal judge's order that stipulates details of the case be sealed. is it just for drama? I don't mind the debate when you can keep it civil, but your fabrications of the truth are far fetched. I don't know if you really don't comprehend the details or if you're doing it on purpose to dramatize it all. .
An email received from SNKP stated - the temporary injunction means that while you were being investigated, you had permission to continue selling the remaining products in stock. Thats all. SNK did not grant either of you permission to reproduce and sell counterfeit inserts. You just made a play on what the press release stated. You were never authorized to correct inserts - just sell what was left. That press release is the only leg you have to stand on. Read below to learn how you can provide proof that you were allowed to sell corrected inserts. Dion, just because the record was sealed means nothing - you still have access to the documents, but again, refuse to show them. It's not illegal to share the documents, it just means that both sides agreed to terms and it was handled without a jury trial. You could post those documents here right now and face no legal recourse. You're, again, using it as an excuse to cover up the truth. Your dealings with SNK regarding the KOF2K is also allowed to be shared. The fact that you constantly avoid posting any sure-fire way to prove that the artwork presented on your release is authentic will always raise concern. You just refuse to provide any documentation. And that has nothing to do with legality - it's your choice. I'm not doing anything on purpose, please don't add little quips at the end of each of your replies. Just answer the questions being presented. How the ball is in your court - you have no reason not to provide any of the documentation I requested. There is no law that states you cannot access and share sealed documents. Employers do it all the time.
 again legendary men return .... Dion dakis the champion of counterfeit insert. One must be blind ... The king of fighters 2000 is product counterfeit ? YES ! please now dion stop your imbecility.
I hereby declare your freaked piece of shit is indeed a freaked piece of shit. I guess Dion must polish turds in his spare time.
You're wrong again. The temporary injunction means that business is stopped. Ask a lawyer to look at the order and see what a temporary injunction is all about. At the end of the trial, Playmore issues a press release stating NGF was authorized by SNK-Japan and had permission to sell all games with the NGF corrected inserts. This had nothing to do with playmore. Our agreements were with SNK-Japan and as with our settlement agreement, playmore had to put that information online. You're still in denial about this and you'll just keep rambling on and on. We agreed to playmore's request for the details of the case to be sealed. Neither Chris or myself will violate a court order. If you can get playmore to discuss the case publicly, that would be great. I would love to see them post the information online and see them back in court. .
See the list of games in the press release you provided? Those, just the games on that page, in your possession, were allowed to be sold. An EXCEPTION of the permanent injunction allows you to sell the remaining stock you had left. If you're allowed to sell games with counterfeit inserts, why haven't you or Chris sold any games since the court hearing? No, you ordered the details of the case to be sealed. SNKP sent an email to a member of NG.com who was looking for info on the case. They stated that no details of the case could be disclosed to the general public as NeoGeoFreak asked that the case be sealed. What's funny though, you keep bragging about a settlement that you received, which is part of a case that has been sealed. But won't give any other details. And you skipped my question about your KOF2K documents, still waiting on a civil response from that, thanks.
That's pretty bad, considering that Insaneclown never sent the game. Fact remains that nobody has paid more than $600 for the game.
The NGF issue not withstanding, that is the case for ALL neo geo games. They are all the same code, just different art/paper work. It already took us far too much to get that across to people so lets not undo it. WTF!? When the hell did this happen? I remember that auction but I never knew that he vanished without delivering any goods.
Where do you come up with these stories? Too bad you can't check the completed sales on ebay from last year to verify the sales. The first on on ebay that sold for $3500 went to a guy named Oliver in Germany. That was the first one to appear for sale in almost a decade. A few months later, another sold on ebay for $3050 to a buyer in the USA named Zac. I know this because the sellers and buyers contacted me after the auctions ended so the buyers could receive the Letter of Authenticity. One of the 3 holy grails in the neogeo aes market is the KoF2000 english edition. Not many people have seen the english edition in person. Also, one was recently sold on ng.com selling section for higher than both of those. These were all verified before, but the people that can't find the game are the only ones who try and discredit it. (the have-nots). I'm not always at my computer and I stopped home for a few minutes. I'll try to add photos later tonight of the certificates. It will be later tonight at the soonest or possibly tomorrow. But a lot of people have seen the certificates and plan on joining in on the program. mike, check your message box. .
I didn't endorse the seller. I simply contacted the first seller to congratulate him on owning the cartridge and wish him luck. The Letter of Authenticity was offered as an assurance to the buyer and to add another piece of memorabilia to the cartridge. It was also a great way to meet new neo collectors. I'm not giving out information that was privy. These were done in public on a public auction site. The buyers had already spoken up and said they purchased the game, so it's not like I'm announcing anything that was secret. As for insaneclown? I don't know if his account is still on ebay or what his ebay name is. I don't search and stalk everyone and everything that happens in the neo world. I only found out about the KoF2000 ebay auctions because it was a incredible news that one finally turned up and many web sites reported on it (not just neogeo sites)(gamesniped, etc...). People contacted me and asked me information on the auction, and that is why I contacted the seller and offered the LoA. .
