i personly doubt that a "prototype" would have a retail logo on the cart, ive mostly only seen that with debug or review copies, labeling it as a prototype is somewhat misleading

 

I would recommend contacting @Borman like others have suggested. Better off doing this stuff through PMs than regular posts.

 

Still no proof of a working prototype of any kind so there isnt anything to be said honestly. I know if I wanted 4500 or whatever it was, I would at least have a picture.

 

She hasn't been on the website since Friday morning, according to Assembler. Not sure what that means for us.

 

I guess she thought getting a quick $5000 was going to be easy.

 

I've been told privately that the game only booted to a black screen, and that she no longer has it. Believe what you want, but I urge caution.

Just an update, someone in the Facebook group this originated from got in contact with BAFTA, they are now looking to recover this cartridge.

 

I am a lurker and I only joined to say: HAHAHAHA I freaking love this! It is indeed BAFTA's property and the labels prove it! There is no way to snake their way out of it, if BAFTA wants it then they have no choice but to hand it over! This is so dope! I just hope they don't sell it under the table, back to BAFTA it most go and stay for some 100 years!

 

Forget BAFTA... I'm more surprised that Rare or especially Nintendo hasn't tried intervening yet!

I'm very surprised about the same thing, but I imagine it won't take long, especially now that's at a current bid of £66,000. I was really looking forward to us learning more about the cart, but I don't imagine it'll reach a collector (or digital archivist's) hands.

 

The person who has it doesn't deserve to make any money of it because of their scammer status and other weird behaviours. Hopefully it's recovered by BAFTA. We have nothing to be sad about, We have such earlier builds of the game already, this one most likely would not present anything we'd are about.

This is not BAFTA's property, it belongs to Rare (Microsoft)

 

This cartidge was made for BAFTA therefore it is their property Rare owns the game contents but that cartridge is property of BAFTA so its most likely a review cartridge with the full game on it

 

Well said, after all the earlier builds we've seen is most likely more intresting then whats on this cartridge anyway
