I was playing through Roadsters, and it's buggy to the point of being broken.

Just about the worst racing game I've played (note, I've never played Big Rigs)



So, watch the video that I wasn't intending to record, and see how bad it is.

 

I know in the General section we were talking about DLC, and how it's a terrible money grab.

But remember a world without patches? Where games stayed in the terrible form they were in at launch?

Today I'll take you back there, and look at one of the worst Dreamcast games in existence.

Thankfully I never have to play it again.

 

Dead or Alive 2 is a great game. Just a really good, well built fighter.

The Dreamcast had some great fighting games.

Ugh, I played like 3 hours of Thief, only to find that my software wouldn't record it.

Is a fantastically named toy enough to convince me to recommend a $60 3DS game?

Finishing the review for Thief: TDP took forever and ever.

First it wouldn't capture, then I had problems getting the audio to work, it was a nightmare, 0/10, would not recommend.

But is the game any good? Well you have to give me a view to find out.

 

So I just did a video showing you how to make a green screen. It's pretty simple, but a relative necessity.

Whats really wired is that I have a copy of Thief 2 which also wouldn't capture properly.. Weird....

 

Yeah, for some reason I couldn't get the GOG version to record, at all. Then I realize I'd bought it on Steam (stupid Steam Sales/Humble Bundles, always enticing me to spend money...), and it did record.

I used a mod that improved the performance on modern PCs, but I could not find a way to get the game to run in a window. That's...irksome.

 

That's probably to do with the weird glide wrappers and replacement renderers GOG likes to include to "improve" things. Steam doesn't do that, they usually just do the minimum necessary to make something run (well, that and add some DRM if at all possible).

Sometimes they (GOG) include an untouched iso of the game (renamed to .gog), if you ever run into something similar again (and don't have the Steam version) using that to do a clean install might be worth a try.
