Well I put the board in my DC and wow. I'm using a 64gb flash drive I had laying around and it's very easy to load up a game. Tried Soul Calibur and Sonic without any issue, GUI is simple and games load fast. Besides the capacity you get from the USB GDROM, it'll be great once I'm done putting this in for the other DC, that air flow will remain intact. Cosmetically it will pretty much look the same even with the small cut out for the USB port which for me is a non issue. Fantastic piece!

I noticed the Saturn has S/PDIF capabilities too. http://gamesx.com/wiki/doku.php?id=av:saturn_sp_dif Would you consider making a digital audio out for the Saturn? I would definitely buy it.

Is there anyone or anywhere else that hosts the latest GDEMU SD card maker? I've tried everything to download it from the link that madsheep provides, but for some reason the site always times out. I've tried IE and Firefox with pop-up blockers turned off. Is anyone else having this problem?

    RebuildGDI

    RebuildGDI

    What is it?
RebuildGDI uses the gditools and the GDIBuilder to rebuild the gdi images with the truncate option of the GDIBuilder Version 1.2 so you can save a lot of space in some games.

Will it work for all games?
No you need to test every game to be sure, but some games with extra protection will fail

    How to use?
there are three ways to operate this tool

    1) Open the tool and drug and drop the gdi file and press the rebuild button

    2) Drug and drop the gdi file to the RebuildGDI.exe a Message box will appear asking you if you want to rebuild the image

    3) Open the tool as admin and press the "Associate .gdi" after the Association every time you double click on any gdi file a Message box will appear asking you if you want to rebuild the image (you can DeAssociate with the same button)

all rebuilded images will be saved on the root folder of the tool

    Download

    Nice tool!

But please remove the current release and replace it with one in which you include the correct license for gditools, which is GPLv3, and a link to its sourceforge page. You can do so simply by adding a readme file in which you state that gditools is open-source, licensed under GPLv3 and that for more information one should see http://sourceforge.net/projects/dcisotools/

I don't want to be annoying here, but I'm a strong believer in open-source and I want it made clear that my code is open, free and GLPv3.

    Thank you!

    That's perfect for me.

Also, I think you should include a python DLL with the program. Under wine it complains that it's missing. Python27.DLL I think.

    Cheers!

    USBGDROM Problems

    Hi Guys,
I hope someone can help me, as I can't really get my hands on MNEMU regarding my problem with my USBGDROM Device.

Unfortuntely, only after a few months I was able to test the USBGDROM-Device properly, and I noticed that it isn't working properly.
When I use it, the sound seems to be played in a x 0,1 speed ratio (weird, spooky sounds which you can identify as original ultra-slow-motion-sound).
Due to the ultra slow-mo sound playback, some games aren't really playable.
I've put the original drive back in to make sure it is no DC or cable issue, and it turns out that that just works fine.
It's also not USB-Device depending, as even if I have no USB-Devie connected, I get the Slow-Mo sound in the DC menu.
Now, I have an original unmodded V1 Dreamcast.

Is there any BIOS-Mod required to run the Dreamcast properly with USBGDEMU?

What's kind of DC? Pal, US, or Jap?
What's zone of GDI? If you game with NTSC J game on DC without 60HZ, we could have this isseus.
Other dump qualities or format? GDI? CDI? Iso, the best is uncompressed GDI.

    @Therose

I think we can get that fixed with current firmware. I'll pass you it when I get it.

    Hi. Thanks for the answer.
The Console is a PAL console.
The GDI-Files (uncompressed I suppose) are pal as well.
I got them from this thread, which people say are compatible with usbgdrom: https://www.assemblergames.com/foru...amcast-Archive&p=772711&viewfull=1#post772711

    I've got 2 cables which I use: a VGA-Cable, and a "Vga-BOX" on which I use S-Video + Audio to Scart.
Both cables cause the same issue.

Please have in Mind, that the console does the same problems when I boot it up without any hdd connected. So this is not a region-issue of the games, since this also happens in the system menu of the dreamcast.

My GDEMU arrives today, so I'm looking for all the latest files necessary to prepare my SD card.

It's difficult combing hundreds of forum pages in search of the most recent files. Is there an official download page that has all the files I'm looking for?

    Edit:
Here's all the files I've managed to find so far. I've included the MD5 hashtags, if anyone would like to help confirm? Thanks
