Two dishes that should never meet, as Japanese shouldn't be allowed to make curry.

hahaha, you're right there but to be fair, Japanese curry as it's own dish can be pretty good. I'd still rather eat true Indian curry any day though. We're actually well catered for in the Indian curry world down here. We have 3 true Indian restaurants in this city alone. I love going there however the missus hates it.

Nice pictures as always. I quite like the couple shot. Could be a brake up or about to make out. We'll never know.

By the way, Martian. I bought that Olympus lens you recommended. Cost me 21700 yen after shipping. It's one of those new but the box has been opened deals. I can't wait to try it out. The sample shots looked fantastic on the review you linked to.

I don't eat meat, so I'm out on Japanese curry. It just looks like beef stew to me anyway, so no real loss. We have Indian Curry places out the ass here. My I can walk to 3. One has a lunch set (w/ rice) for 400 yen. I have no idea how they stay in business. The one closest (and coincidentally I frequent the most) is Nepalese curry, and it's dope. Their set (w/ nan) is 680.

Oh, I stalked them all the way home. They did anal.

    haha...j/k probably.

So, I have a big dilemma. I have purged enough bullshit to = the cost of a new DSC-RX1. Amazing what this dorky hobby means you keep lying around the house. There's about 10 merchants on kakaku.com that want to be at the top. So, they continually pimp each other. On Friday afternoon, it was 211,512. As of this morning, 208,372. Now, 208,241. I guess there's a lot of margin on this thing. Wondering how low it will go.

The Caveat is that I have a work trip to HK soon. It would be nice to have this, but let's face it, it's not like my other gear sucks. Also, I'd probably rather cut my teeth on new HW in my back yard, right? The yen has thus far been weakening, which further sweetens then deal. That can always go the other way though... but right now, it runs about $2250 locally, and $2800 in America.

Unfortunately for the last 4 years, but it's starting to slide back into place. Knock on wood -- don't want to fuck it up.

Yakumo, what kind? I'm drinking Takara Shiquasa (how the fuck do you write it in English?) シークァーサー and it's dope.

I love the 8% stuff. One 500ml can, can get you feeling pretty good. Not very drunk but enough of a buzz to feel better. When I drink Chu-Hi I fill the glass full of ice then pour in the Chu-Hi topping it up as I go along. It tastes so much better when it's ice cold.

    I am drinking lemon tea.

@Yakumo, nice work on the lens. Looking forward to the shots.

@Gaypunch The japs don't really call it curry, as you know ;) Their karray is pretty good - though not for a veggie. It's a totally different food to indian curry of course. Just like how most Japanese food in the UK has only its name in common (Wagamama's ramen is awful).
As for the RX-1, yes the size is good, but the AF may piss you off. Have you played with one yet? Big dilemma, lol

the Bokeh on this lens is fantastic

It's also not too shabby when it comes to picking up detail! My poor bashed Panasonic MD player looks awful in this full size crop.

Currently shooting with a D7000 and a 50mm lens... done a bit of filtering on both images... looks crap? Comments much appreciated :)

It's nice to see that you still have the Axis FZ proto. Did you ever complete stage 1? It's way too hard for me. Much harder than the final release. I bet there's quite a lot different in later levels.

I'm no master of photography but I'd say your first picture needs to have a main point of focus. It seems awfully out of focus apart from the contact tracks on the cartridge. The second picture I can see that you are concentrating on the 360 pad and PSP but because the Mega Drive proto is in the main field of view it looks odd to me. These are just my opinions and by no means renders your photos as no good. I think GaijinPunch could offer some really good advice.

I have no idea about PSP games but I'd say it's a Gundam game due to the Bandai name and it being in space.

In the store, yes. Outside? No. You do know I'm cumming from:

    1: A 5d Mark 2 Click Me
2: Zeiss lenses which are MF only.

Don't mean to be mean, but your depth of field is terrible...
