If you do play the proto with an action replay be sure to report on what's different. I'd really like to know.

Nope. It was my version of Shinobi cosplay. She didn't even know I was there.

Not as ninja as you think. I used the viewfinder to focus and had the camera resting on my lap -- then snapped away whilst looking elsewhere.

He is truly a master of wordplay. Every one of his posts is my new favorite post.

Indeed, I was. I had it on rapid fire though -- I have one or two before she turned around but that one looks better.

I'm going out on the piss again this Friday night so I'm going to give my new Olympus 45mm f1.8 lens a workout. It's the equivalent of 90mm full frame I'm guessing. Martian recommended it to me and from what little testing I've done in my room it seems quite good.

I count 72mm on an APS-C sensor. Not a bad lenght. I'm a fan of 50, but find 85mm too long sometimes.

Yakumo's on m4/3, which has a "full frame" crop factor of 2, so it's 90mm equiv on a "full frame". Gives him quite a lot of reach - and the quality should be top notch.

    Happy Vday.

Yep, I checked it out and my micro four thirds does indeed have "full frame" crop factor of 2. So yep, 90mm it would be. Can't wait for tomorrow night. I just hope there's some good chances.

Lovely heart by the way. Very well done.

Ah, cool. Didn't know that. ;)
    And yeah, nice bokeh heart.

I went and saw Dead Can Dance last night, and it fucking rocked. Took my Zeiss 100mm and got a couple of stunners IMHO. Big sign that said, "no detachable lenses" (basically, phones only) but I just ignored it.

    Cool shots.

Dead Can Dance is a band that started in the mid-80's and gained pretty big success in the early 90's. They tapered of in the late 90's. They toured in 2005 I think but have just put out their first album since 1998 or something. If you had to describe them, they sound like they came out of a Rennaissance Fair, but it's definitely non-cheesy sound. The girl part of the duo (Lisa Gerrard) has had a rather successful Solo career. You've probably heard her voice in a couple of tracks from Gladiator, which is also used in the first half of the Man of Steel trailer. ;)

Looks like I'm going to have to track down a few MP3s to check them out.
