I have something to ask, is South Park aired in Japan in English audio or dubbed in Japanese? I'm a true South Park fan and the Stick of Truth is a best game and I'm planning to move to Japan at the end of the year and my brother's friend was in Osaka as a Japanese Navy. I'm going to watch South Park along with Digimon, Tokusatsus, and J-Dramas.

South Park nor any other western cartoon is aired in Japan unless you have cable. In that case it will probably be in English or Japanese. That's if it's shown that is.

That's cool, is it censored kinda like the way GTA V censored for Japanese Audience since this was a Western-made media. Was South Park popular in Japan because of the Princess Kenny episode in the show?

I couldn't tell you. I've never actually seen South Park on TV here or played the japanese GTA V. I bought the Asian version because it was cheaper and full English :)

I prefer using American proxy to go to southparkstudios.com and watch the full uncensored version of it :) Anyways, did you go to Kamen Rider and Super Sentai stage shows? It's like Waterworld in Universal Studios Hollywood for me.

Yeah, I've seen those types of shows a lot with my kid. They're a lot cheaper than Universal Studios shows but still fun.

They're on Tokyo G-Rosso, right now they are showing Ressha Sentai ToQGer and Kamen Rider Gaim stage shows, did you met those actors from that show? BTW on an off-topic note, what channel is South Park on SkyPerfect! TV?

Only one show I saw used the real actors. Most of the time they are not the same people as seen on TV. Not that kids care.

I don't know because I NEVER watch TV here in Japan. I don't own cable either :( I do watch UK TV via dowload sites but even then it's hard to find the time. One of the main reasons why I don't have cable.

Anyone know what the deal is with statues of tanooki (racoons) with massive balls? Here is a super creepy one outside of a stationary shop close to where I am staying.

Their scrotums are supposed to be used for really strange things, such as an umbrella when it's raining.

I really liked those people in surgical mask, was it part of their culture or just because of Fukushima incident happened 3 years ago?

Culture. Discussed about 3 pages ago - media scares and now people wear them without knowing why half the time.

It has absolutely zip to do with fukushima.

I think the masks are a brilliant idea. The economy must lose millions of dollars lost due to people coming down with an illness they caught from someone else, but if you could prevent that person from infecting others... Same with the way that bathing is done in Japan, a country that's really susceptible to drought like Australia would really benefit from using this style of bathing.

-if the infection vector is airborne via coughing. There's so many other brilliant ways to get ill.

What do you say Bert the Turtle?

They're only preventing the most extreme of infections though. The better solution would be for Japanese salarymen to learn basic manners like covering their mouths when they cough.
