While out and about today I took a few pictures from the car.

First up is this very decrepit old bus. Apparently it's going to Shin-Shimonoseki Train Station.

The Japanese love their shitty little box cars however this guy thinks is Honda plastic box is a Nissan Skyline GT-R.

Today we ended up down the area that I like to call the Shanti Town of the city. Actually it's very safe down here, just looks old.



I wouldn't like to use these steps in the winter.

This just goes to show you how far behind Japan was in the 60's. This dump on the left is only 38 years old! Can you beleive that? Looks like something from 1930 to 1940!

This place is from 1980!!! Shit, looks more like an alotment shed than a house. makes me greatful that I didn't live in Japan 30 years ago if this was the norm for lower working class.

I dunno, maybe someone stole those funky looking paving slabs covering it. They're probably on display in a modern art gallery somewhere...

It doesn't really look like that anymore alas, even Dobuita St. Only reason I went to Yokosuka was because of Shenmue ;-)

 

i was in dobuita last year and last last year, and i thougt it still quite looks like shen mue

Is there not many Krispy Kremes in Japan?

I haven't seen a line outside a Krispy Kreme in years.

 

It was the only one I saw in Tokyo it's outside Shinjuku station over the bridge.

The line is actually for the second level lounge to sit down etc.. the sign is saying it's a 20 min wait. There was a never a day without a line.

If you just want a coffee and donut to go, you're in and out in seconds
