Did you see the imitation Statue of Liberty in Odaiba as well?

True. I've seen stupid ass women with gloves up to their elbows and parasols up when the sun can't been seen.

In Japan there seems to be an unwritten law in the heads of most people that dictates when they can and can't wear something regardless of the weather conditions. For example I was wearing short sleeved shirts all through September, October and even the beginning of November yet most Japanese thought I was odd because it wasn't summer. So what? It was hot!

Jesus, that has got to be some of the worst Engrish I've seen in a long time. Even an online translator could do better than that.

Ask a Japanese where Thomas is from and they'll say Japan. Funny they think that when the character's names are ALWAYS written in English. Bob the Builder is pretty popular in Japan too. I reckon that Obama is a big Bob the Builder fan as well. how else would he have come up with "Yes, we can!" He stole it from Bob :)

I saw a dude in Akihabara in shorts & a T-Shirt like 2 weeks ago. I was freezing my balls off. He had a few more layers of fat than me though, that's for sure.

Really? Never seen him. We got Thomas coming out of our asses over here though.

That guy is a bit odd then. It is way too cold at the moment for that type of clothing no matter how much of a fat bastard you are

Yeah, just pop in to your local DVD rental place, they'll have loads of DVDs. He even has a comic strip along with Thomas in some Japanese little kids magazine. He does go under the name of Bob Bobuzu though.

I still find it funny that an inefficient talking train is a popular mascot in Japan. Have they aired the episode where the fat controller takes his life as Thomas arrives at the platform two minutes late?

I don't remember that episode, must be one of those post-Ringo Starr episodes...

there are no post Ringo Starr episodes. He did the first two series then Michael Angelis (an actor from Liverpool) took over from 1988 to 2009. Now some southern git does the voice and all is lost. Oh, and the latest one is CG. Looks f*ing awful!

PS: Of course I was talking about the original British voices for Thomas. The US had to change them even though they can speak English  . The Japanese version is pretty bad too. Same voice as Anpanman :banghead:

*wonders what the armored van is for*
    *wants to play JSR again...*
*wants to raid Japanese capsules, as the fake moustaches and bubblegum and bouncy balls and plastic jewelry that the USA has doesn't cut it*
