These are probably the copies that were part of the original launch but never made it out. Probably snuck out of a warehouse.

Sony already said the discs are being pressed. This is probably just the first batch.

Why arent they just pushing this straight to shops (and into gamers hands) as fast as they can press the disks?

does this contain the old system software version? I m under the impression that part of the delay is attributed to the piracy issue at hand.

Because if you do that, you screw some of your retail customers and a lot of the big retailers require a certain number of units to fulfill an order. When you can't fulfill demand and short ship a bunch of your customers, or not at all, you could end up in pretty hot water.

That was what basically started the death of the Saturn for Sega. Except they made that mistake at the very beginning!

Doubtful. The game is in the process of being pressed. They probably are going through different regions at a time and this is probably coming off the line of a specific region.

According to Blog.us.playstation, the new release date in US and Europe is November 24th.

I'll only believe when Kevin receives mine GT5 CE.

Hopefully i'll still be able to play it this year.

EDITED: If this is the complete track list ( http://www.gran-turismo.com/local/jp/data1/products/gt5/courselist_en.html ) i'm very disappointed.

No Apricot Hill Raceway, no Midfield Raceway (!!!), no Motegi (and variants), no Fuji 80's and 90's, no Infineon, no El Capitan, no GeorgeV Paris, no Opera Paris, no New York, no Hong Kong, no Seattle, no Seoul, no Valencia, no Swill Alps, no Grand Canyon, no Tahiti maze...

Kazunori and PD, WTF have you been doing in the last 6 years?! Why didn't convert these tracks from GT4 and TT (Valencia)?

Maybe they will try to make money for a DLC with those tracks, and then wank to all the money they get.
