the potential damage. I think the 6 million is in reference to the total cost of development, including wages and possible proposed profits.

You should have put "Man" in quotes.

They would have still been able to release the game, games get leaked early all the time and I don't think it would cause that much damage.

I guess I just feel they're being a bit harsh.

Obviously he's being made an example. All the press makes it necessary.

i'm really impartial. He did a stupid thing, it's one thing to leak a title. Personally that's whatever, the fact he did it at a trade show - and BRAGGED TO STAFF ABOUT IT.

I'll view it as punishment for stupidity rather than theft...

This is darwinism at work folks.

The only difference is that he did something that affects liberty rather than life.

He was scheduled for a pre-trial conference on June 27th, but I haven't been able to find any stories about it. I've been following his Twitter (MTWomg) but he mentions nothing about it.

Perhaps because if you get jail time, you go straight to jail from the courtroom?

A pre-trial conference is designed for the lawyers to get together, see if they can work out a deal, if not, to agree on things like discovery motions, etc. before scheduling the actual trial.

Sentencing doesn't come until AFTER the actual trial unless there is a plea deal before trial.

If MTWomg has a lick of intelligence, he won't be talking about what went on in conference in public.
