Mega Man Legacy Collection Announced (PS4, Xbox One, 3DS, and PC)

I am loving the fact that the PC is getting so much attention. Resident Evil Zero is getting a remaster, Final Fantasy Type-0 is coming to Steam, and there are rumors that Tales of Zestiria might be ported too. On top of all that, my favorite Mega Man games are coming out for the PS4, Xbox One, 3DS, and PC as the Mega Man Legacy Collection!

I think this is awesome, since I'm most fond of the NES games. I have my doubts, since Mega Man Anniversary Collection had a ton of issues: Mono sound only, poor button configurations, and aggressive screen cropping. I'm hoping Capcom takes better care of the games this time around.

It's time to upgrade your PC.

 

I think any true mega man fan would support this. Jadded Capcom fans won't but trying to tell them this is a good thing is like talking to a wall.

The XBOX Collection fixed alot of problems, but when I want my Mega Fix I play complete works on my PS3. I'll triple dip though becuase again, I AM A HUGE MEGA MAN FAN and if they are remixing levels which they seem to be hinting at I'm in. Would be nice if they pulled a Sonic jam and put the slide and buster shot in games that don't have them.

 

I'm probably not alone in this... Why only 6 games? Why not have 7, 8 as well? Or even the digital only 9 and 10 included in the package!?

 

I'm excited for this! I will probably get it on Steam but I'm considering the 3DS version.

Btw, the NES games are mono only. The audio was originally recorded in mono.

 

It was probably more attractive to port six games from one console. 7 and Rockman & Forte were on the Super Nintendo/Famicom, 8 was on the PS1 (What are the chances they'd port the Sega Saturn version?), and 9 and 10 were on the 360/PS3. That's a lot to emulate/port.

I can imagine a scenario where Capcom ports 7, Rockman & Forte, Soccer, and the X games for another bundle.

 

Ideal scenero, lets not blow the load on one reissue when you can make many. A proper console version of the Zero games would be much welcome as well.

 

Finally Capcom using it's franchise.

I think $20 USD would be the "worst case scenario." Especially if Mighty No. 9 will retail for that amount -- You can just hear Capcom saying "Why spend $20 on one game when you can have six?"

If Capcom could re-release the initial Mega Man X trilogy WITH the SNES original version of X3 and not the CD audio version in the original collection, they will get their gold from me.

 

I think they should have put 7-10 with this release.
I also found interesting that there isn't a WiiU and a Vita version.
I would like to play it on the Vita.

 

No point in not releasing for Wi U, 360 and PS3 too.
With the installed base, there's just no point. This game is a market research.

 

So when this collection comes it, what will happen to the 3DS Virtual Console versions? Oh and not releasing this on Wii U is ridiculous.

 

Funnily enough I'm grabbing the Misadventures of Tronne Bonne, X4 and X5 MM8 and SOTN on PSN tomorrow.
