sorry everyone ive been uploading all day trying to get it up on mega..... and it seems mega is lagging!
I checked the file sizes and they are different then the retail. All the .dat files are different sizes and the .xbe is a different size. Also this is not a debug copy it was listed as a beta.
Seems like this thread finally gained a bit of traction. As for me listing it as a beta, that's because I honestly had no idea what to call it. It's a pressed silver disc from Microsoft, the likes of which I had seen in other places get called a beta, so I named it as such. Sorry about the dropbox crap, it seemed to be the only place I could upload it. Mediafire hated my guts the same as everywhere else I tried!
Not to get anyone's hopes up, but mediafire doesn't hate me today. The upload is about 5% in with 9 hours to go.
OP, I can mirror it on my site for free for you. I have unlimited storage and bandwidth. Let me know.
I am uploading the last .DAT to dan87's FTP right now! 45 mins remaining! I am glad it downloaded for me and extracted for me also! I would upload to more people but my connection only uploads at 150k. I have been uploading for 30 plus hours already and I need the connection for my kids to use in the morning. Sorry guys! I have done my part already! Dan87 will share it!
Damn, better than my upload speed though you were probably better to upload to MEGA or something and just give the links to those with FTP or just in the thread... Save yourself some time.
then ill cancelled my upload to mega for now i was only getting 259kb and i was only on the second disc data 1
Thanks to DeChief for sharing this & davidthomas for uploading it twice As promised here is the link (dont expect multi megabyte download speeds , its not one of my best VPS'S) You can either download it via http or ftp http://betaftp.co.uk/xbox/MGS2 - Press Preview.zip ftp details are , Site : betaftp.co.uk , User: xbox , Pass : xbox (that account is not allowed to upload for obvious reasons) FTP would be the better option as it supports resuming ,i dont think my http config supports it I named it Press Preview (or what id call a Press Prevew anyway) i suspect it was a disc that got sent to some magazine to review the game
