Then that makes all of us so far. I played it once for about 4 minutes and was not impressed/interested whatsoever... People look at it as fun to create your own worlds, but that's why we have level editors for Half-life.
can a mod please add the "dont give a shit" to the poll please im to retarded to work out how todo it
Tried it, complete waste of time, whoever coded it didnt knew shit about optimization: even with discrete graphics it takes more resources to run than AAA games do. Its just a meme, some dude got hooked to it, tweeted that shit and now all the hipsters who think pixel art is "rad" had to pay for this POS. IMO LOVE MMORPG its a much better game, the "impressionist" graphics are awesome
It runs on my Macbook Air, which isnt exactly a powerhouse. Its not perfectly optimized, but it has mostly been a 1 person project until semi-recently, and remember, it's still not done.
Really fun with close friends on a common server and a common goal. Other than that, I don't really care much.
Not saying you need a highend rig to run it, just that it takes way too many resources for what it does. Seriously, I've seen browser games more detailed that this thing and running more than OK. And if I had that amount of money coming in I would've hired more people to get a final version out ASAP
I played it for about half an hour last year and got bored pretty quickly. Couldn't figure out what the fuss was about. Then someone showed me the tutorial on Minecraft Wiki when it went 'free weekend' a few months back, and now it's become a complete timesink. I showed my gf it, she persuaded me to buy two copies and we quickly figured out multiplayer is *the* way to play it. Good times.
Granted I haven't tried it, but it does just seem like a meme. It seems like it could be fun with a group of friends though.
Personally I like sandbox games a lot, and Minecraft is one of my favourites. I bought it about 9 months ago and played it a lot since then. I actually find it relaxing, great for when I come home tired and I just want to listen to some music and play to something that doesn't require to pay a lot of attention. Sometimes I just hang around exploring caves and things like that (in fact, that's one of the things I liked the most from games like Oblivion or Fallout 3).
