So I'm looking for a/some MMBT3906LT1 transistors. Ones on eBay are only available from the US/UK in lots of 100. So in total would cost $14 or close to... I'm really only after one, but 5 should be enough...

Chinese sellers have them for cheap, I got a lot from them before with free shipping. I could send you some just pay shipping, these are SMD parts correct?

I can't seem to find any that do have the exact ones I'm looking for. They have MMBT3906 but not MMBT3906LT1 ones :(

I honestly don't know, but I'm trying to fix a XBOX 1.6 board with the damaged transistor.

From looking at many different transistor datasheets the difference is minimal except for maybe voltage handling. If you want some I have shoot me a pm.

You can substitute it for any 3906 transistor with same footprint (SOT-23?). Most likely you could sub any general purpose PNP since discrete transistors wouldn't be used for any critical functions. The BC858/859 should be more widely available in Australia.

Ah well if that's the case I have found many 3906 SOT-23 transistors. It seems the transistor is what lets the XBOX turn on in the first place if it grounds out, then it damages that transistor. So same footprint, wouldn't have any side effects, makes the search easier. :)

L is important (it indicates the package - SOT 23-3)
T1 isn't (it just means that they are shipped on tape on a 7" reel) - there is also T3, indicating a 13" reel
You might have more luck looking for the RoHS part - MMBT3906LT1G - since that's current production.

So the G won't matter then? I could find a few of those actually.

Yeah, you can use it - the 'G' means 'green' - so it uses a Pb-free plating and halogen free plastics. The actual device characteristics are identical. The plating will either be matte Sn or NiPdAu (I think it's the former) - either of which are compatible with both SnPb and RoHS solder.
