Apple denied the existance of the iPhone to the very last minute before the Macworld, to the point many users thought the thing was nothing but vaporware. If sony wants to make a surprise unveiling in E307 I doubt they would go and say "yeah the rumors are entirely true, so theres nothing new to expect during the expo, just a couple shots of the unit and thats all". That would be a complete hype-buster...
Sony will always denie things. Anyways I have reason to believe the redesign is comming due to recent firmware changes that would require more battery life. So far PSP was the only console in last months NDP numbers to go up compaired to previous month (all others went down slighly).
a completely new one from what i know. new PSP or not, they need to actually put some effort into it. The PSP wont just sell itself.
The HW is selling it self, software isn't tho which is pissing off stores & developers. This is the major issue sony needs to sort out. Psp has the software but sony for some damn reason cant figure out how to market it.
