My attempt at making a cool useful and fun original Xbox system.

60$ shipped is not a bad price for this light gun. I bought mine for the same price, from the same guy on ebay I bet. You might be able to get slightly cheaper by mean of Japan proxy services but Its not all that worth it in this case.

 

Shipping was free so a Japanese proxy service wouldn't help me there. I found only 2 searching the whole web and both were from the same seller on eBay. They normally go for $70 but I happened to find them on sale. If I had more money I'd get 2 for dual wield in Virtua Cop 3 but I don't. Maybe for Christmas if I can find another one. Need to see if it works well before deciding on a second one.

Only reason I even got it is because I just now noticed I had $38 in PayPal from something I completely forgot about so it really cost me just under $20 out of my calculated budget. They were on sale for $58 USD.

 

The shipping is not really "free" its included in the cost.
Ive seen the beretta guns in the 1500 yen range on yahoo auction before. With the shipping and proxy fees and stuff you might snag one in the 40-50$ shipped zone.
But this guy offers you english support and DOA warranty for 60$ all included, which is worth it I guess.

 

Got my Seagate 2TB hybrid solid state hard drive in today. Tested it out on the PC and it works well. Should being a new item. So my IDE adapters also work and they SHOULD work on the Xbox. Since I have IND-BIOS flashed I'll need to hook my modchip up while I build the new drive with AID. For some reason the IND-BIOS panics when it can't find the dashboard on the HDD even when setting it to boot from the DVD first. Wait. My settings have it go to the dash even when a disk is in the drive. May have to change some settings and flash a new configured BIOS on it. Be easier than soldering the modchip on.

I'll see how it goes.
