Sega Saturn is one of my favorite systems. You have a lot of consoles but I don't see Radiant Silvergun. Post some pics of your collection on shelf's.
Nice! It's impressive that you seem to be collecting Saturn stuff from all regions. Most collectors would probably limit themselves to US and Japan, or Europe and Japan. Out of curiosity, where are you located?
I see. I don't suppose you'd be willing to part with one of those loose US consoles? I have a Japanese model 1 (working) and a US model 1 (faulty motor/laser assembly). Most of my games are Japanese, but there are a few games that were US-exclusive or expensive/difficult to find in Japan. I don't want to mod my Japanese console; I want to keep it as close as possible to stock. By the way, I noticed you have Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. How does the Saturn version compare to the other console versions?
I have some working spare parts if you're interested in getting your US console working (power supplies, cd drives, lasers). Is the cd drive not working or is it just a dead laser? Saturn UMK3 is better than the SNES/GEN versions I use to play. I think there's an arcade-perfect version on XBL/PSN but I prefer having the actual game/packaging.
I suspect it's the motor, though I'm not sure. It loads some games, and some games will load if I restart the system several times. Some games will not load at all. That effectively makes it unusable for me. I think it'd be best to just replace the entire drive, so I might be interested in one of those depending on what you want for it. Like I said, it's a model 1. I've replaced a drive unit in my Japanese Saturn once, and from what I remember it's incredibly easy. That's about what I expected. I used to have the Genesis version of that game, but I traded it years ago. I figure if I'm going to buy it again, I might as well get the best version. Do you know if there was ever a Japanese release of UMK3 for Saturn? I've looked around a little and I haven't been able to find one. I know there was a Japanese release of MKII.
I love me some Sega Saturn - I though having 2 was excessive 1 stock and 1 with the PAL 50/60hz mod I know this has been asked before but why so many Saturn? do you re-sell the refurbed units on ebay?
No such thing as too many Saturn But I did sell some a while ago to clear up space. Then I found more junked consoles. I can't help getting cheap consoles and reviving them.
Another Cross Products modded dev console. This one is a US model and doesn't have the region switch my other one has.
wow, very very nice collection. I'm in need of saturn cases and screw sets across various models/revisions. I don't suppose you have some spare, do you?
Nice. FYI some versions of the the Samsung Sega Rally originally came in a big box (kinda like a 90's PC game) they're rare but worth looking out for one. I used to have one but as you can see it was pretty sun faded, not sure who I sold it to:
