I was in a car accident two or three days before the auction ended. I had all intentions of winning the auction after some of my other efforts had failed. Had people willing to lend me money if I needed it even. I would have gladly paid more than what it is worth just to attempt to put an end to this story. Unfortunately not having collision insurance got in the way of this auction. Next time one shows up I should be in better shape to afford it. I may also get in touch with the winner in the near future to see if I can purchase/borrow the items that I need. But right now my attention is focused on getting my car on the road again. I havent given up guys!

Regarding the blue disc, Unless someone get's a full partner kit I think they are S. Out Of Luck. Hopefuly barc0de gets enough info in the future to rip 64DD disk.

 

Allman suggests you only need the DDDump tool (and obviously some hardware + Win95/V) to backup 64DD disks.

 

Even with a backup there is no use. There wont be anything to run it on.

 

This may be true but there will never be anything to run the images without an image in the first place.

My point was there is no need for info to backup disks manually, there is already an official tool to do this.

Why hasent anyone made a 64DD emulator yet? Is it due to lack of intrest or because there are no dumps of the games as of yet?

It would be great if the community here could find some way of dumping games into rom format then working on a emulator. I have 4 or 5 DD games and a little bit of exp. with C++, not much but its a start. :shrug:

 

I think any developer who would like to try just doesnt have the equipment

Sure just give me a 64DD unit. I've been going crazy for the fact I keep loosing on three different yahoo jp auctions by 500yen.

I just need a unit so i can probe the status register after the call for a DD reset.
