damn... I hope my friends are okay. I am pretty sure none of them live near those islands, but i hope their families are fine.
Why does N.korea have to be bullies to s.korea? Its so shameful to the korean name.

Isn't this pretty much the provocation of a war now?

And they were always threatening everyone else to not shoot at them. And here they go doing it first..

They are probably starving, they just showed a western scientist a huge nuke facility.

They will bluff, sue for peace and large amounts of aid.

With a sissy president like obama, he'll cave in for sure.

If this was any other president we'd be all over them.

If you ask me, the US should stop joining wars that are not theirs.
If somebody were to step up in this matter, it should be China.
As mentioned before, NK probably needs something and will sign some kind of temp. peace threaty in trade for whatever they need.
Can we really take NK serious by now?

How can you kick an army's ass when it is made of 5 millions fanatics martial arts experts that have nuclear dissuasion available ?
Problem with North Korea is that other country let them become what they are today. Even though civilians are starving, it's not the case of the army and I'm afraid any country trying to attack them would get beat severly.

Isn't the North Korean army dilapidated and nuke weapons un-reliable? Shouldn't a conventional war end quickly?

The US, Japan, and Korea should just ignore North Korea and stop all aid, including food aid. The biggest threat isn't war, it's North Korean refugees flooding into China so they don't starve to death. Like I said just stop all aid, stop communication, limit their ability to spread technology, then throw the problem into China's lap. By literally refusing to both help or go to war with North Korea they can force China's hand.

Laughed out loud. How the fuck do martial arts help in a war? You can't karate kick away a bomb that's falling on your head.

I think I read somewhere that there was a no politics no religion policy in this forum...
That looks a lot like a political statement.

If Bush or McCain were in office, this would be another pointless war costing thousands of lives on each side.

Diplomacy is not the sissy way out of things, it's the smart one.

You guys are crazy calling for a war!
Each day more people die by car accidents in each of our countries - that's no situation to start a war.

You guys from America should always think about your country in 20 years.
With your economy down and other global players ahead of you, some people will remember the things you've done in the past.

War is also a form of diplomacy.

Like a commentator here in Sweden said, if North Korea is near a collapse, which is indeed very possible, then that's dangerous. Nothing is more dangerous than a desperate dictator.

Martial arts doesn't resume at karate kick o_O
How it does help ? The fighting spirit ? The "never give-up" spirit ? The "I don't fucking care if I die" spirit ? And of course, all the guerilla tactics and so on.
And my turn to laugh. Since when war can be resumed as bombs falling on your head ?

If desperate then he will keep pushing when there is no reaction until he is walks into the South Korean capital. Where do you draw the line?

Don't forget both countries and the USA are already at war.

It would be nice to think that we can all get along but it is not possible without mutual respect. Amazing. Here we have a mad man building nukes and pushing for war more and more each day and it is the US who is the bad guy.

Then tough shit, DPRK and ROK are officially at war, so obviously there can't be diplomacy between them then.
