This is a picture of (exactly) the cable we are talking about?

If it is, inside the black shrink that you indicate whit "?" must be a resistor, please check if is there and check also the value

    thanks but i'm a apple's hater. :)

Ok the value is good. U have to solder the lifted side of the resistor to the pin 8 (yellow wire). In this way u will restore the resistor's bridge between pin 8 and pin 16 that will carry the right voltage to the pin16 and put the TV in RGB mode.
    we hope...

    Well.

Now u need 3 capacitors (buy 4) of 220microFarad 6,3v (or higher) rated.

You will put in series on R,G,B to match the Snes NTSC rgb cable as suggested by Ergot_Cholera.

If you will find sync issues on a TV, you will put also 1 capacitor in series on Composite, and a 75 ohm resistor form composite to ground. Like the gamecube pal rgb cable.

Swapping Composite whit Csync (or Luma if your n64 is a REV 4) will improve video quality and reduce audio interference.

Oh, I actually thought I had completed it, cause I can clearly see a change.
And my TV states that it runs "RGB".
    But okay then!
I will order those capacitors now, and wait for those.

    Just so I am 100%
I can use these right? http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-X-PANASON...al_Components_Supplies_ET&hash=item3f2375d64d

I do happen to have a couple of: 220uf 16v's laying around, could I use them instead of ordering new ones?

Sorry for problably asking stupid, but I'm not quite certain of what Csync is?

You can use EVERY 220uF capacitor whit a voltage equal or higher then 6,3v, so also the 16v u got.

There is a lot of literature about Csync, Composite... how RGB works... you find your answer easily on this and others forums.

if i can, i want to tell u just 1 thing:

Dont post something on the forum and, after 2 seconds, edit it erasing parts of the discussion: you asked about 16v capacitors and, while i was answering, you deleted the question.
People reading the Thread will not understand what we are speaking about.

Sorry if I accidentally did that.
I was actually adding, a question in one of the post, not trying to delete anything at all!
But the 16v question is still there?
    I never took it off.

It's quite alright! No harm done at all, I am very gratefull that you would take the time and help me!!!

Anyway, I do happen to have all the resistors and capacitors for building the scart finished.
So I will begin with that first thing in the morning.

I have also been reading about the Csync, as I happen to have a Rev3 Motherboard, as far as I understand I would need 1 680k resistor, going from the VDC-NUS Chip, to the Multiout.
    (Link: http://retrorgb.com/n64cablecsync.html)
I have already ordered, the resistors.
And also ordered a, LM1881N chip, If I would need to build a Sync Stripper.
Does this sound reasonable enough? Or is there something I've missed?

    Thanks!

Although I must admit, I hate cutting traces on motherboards, and certainly this one has to be cut a 100%.
Or else, I would own one barbecued N64 :/

Build a better cable: whit more copper for gnd, be sure that the connector that goes to the console uses both ground pins, carry 12v for 4:3 aspect ratio.
But slowly slowly... console modding is a endless war.
