I'd be more concerned with the general availability of mods. This topic alone makes three people in an already small field not taking on their former workload.

I myself have active jobs in progress with Bad_Ad84 and APE, you don't hear me near as annoying.

The way i see it especially with bad_ad is its done when its done he tells you about delays etc so no big deal he does have a normal 9-5 job and family so the extra money was worth it to both parties but instead of saying he didnt wanna pay more he went the wrong way about it

Not by any stretch of the imagination and I've had your GameCube for some time now without being able to touch it until recently. Your patience is copious and greatly appreciated.

The extra 20 quid is for doing someone a favor given Bad_Ad84 clearly doesn't wish to accept more work right now stating beyond valid reasons. There should be no question as to his integrity or reasoning here let alone school yard talk going on at all.

Officially I work two jobs that will result in W-2s and more/less two more (modding/repairs and building cables/encoders for a small supplier) so taking on more work that isn't quick and easy has become difficult for me. Plus my ex is having a hard time fully separating ourselves from the relationship, a really good friend graduated and moved back home (and if I'm lucky I'll see in August and then who knows for some time), and it's 9:25am sporting 86F and will be 109F later today.

My plate is full and I don't even have a wife and kids to worry about. If someone pulled this crap on me I wouldn't think twice about kicking them to the curb.

It is hard to say "no" to people, earlier this year i stopped repairs/mods for a local shop as i wanted to spend more time with the family (same boat as badad except my son is a couple of months younger), concentrate on my health (as soon as i hit 30 or so shit went out lol) & do stuff for myself.

This shop still calls me to repair/mod what ever & it is hard as i enjoy it, but i still say no. My wife got the shits as i work a 12hr day with travel and then dissapeared to do the other job. Having said i enjoy it was starting to get to the point where i did loath it sometimes. But (lol!) the extra funds did come in handy.

I have a few of my own consoles to do up and sell and keep a few spares as well.

One thing i want to do is get back into rc planes/helicopters and also rc rock crawlers which my old man and brother inlaw do.

My wife and i are saving to sell the current house and move out of suburbia a bit. Maybe get onto a couple of acres with decent shed. I am keen to get an old school mazda 323 & chuck a 13B turbo in it (giggity).

    Cool story bro

why dont you emulate if you cant afford it? then when you get a job buy the proper consoles, thats what i done for years I couldnt afford consoles but now im working ive ended up with id say around 30 the last year alone which ive cleaned modded and sold on or kept for myself if they was what i wanted. Ive asked bad_ad for mods but he said he wasnt doing it and I just accepted it, he has his own life to live and even if he did charge more, its still cheaper than what you got quoted from rip off passion. learn how to mod yourself, ive been doing it slowly over the past couple of months and must say my soldering skills and modding know how has come along way! done 3 cubes now with xeno chips, not massive achievement but still 3 months ago i couldn't even solder on a dead board!

Oh gee, I don't know maybe because respect is part of the forum rules?

All I'm telling you to do, is clean up your act. You've just come and here and upset a member. Not a good way to start. Also giving me rep with my previous post just shows you're a troll.

Please be respectful that while you are struggling to find the money for this, others struggle to find the time. I hope you don't take this as talking down to you because of your age; I'm only 25, after all, but one of the unfortunate things about growing into adulthood is that while you gain the money to do things you want to do, you fucking lose all the time you had to do them.

Yes, you are exchanging money for this service, but nobody here makes a living off of doing mods so you can safely assume that they will likely have a full time job in their lives; it's unlikely that an unemployed or underemployed person could endure the liability inherent in doing mods for other people, since making a mistake can be quite expensive and could cost a modder a lot of money. You don't want some broke guy doing a mod for you.

I don't even have a wife or kids and honestly I don't know where the hell I would find the time to mod for other people. My life seems like it is one thing after the other and I just want to sleep. As much as I'd like to do something like mod for others eventually (I am still gaining the experience), it's the amount of time and liability that would probably turn me off from it in the end. So please be respectful that even though Bad_Ad84 or whoever would be charging you money, at the end of the day they are doing you a favor by taking time out of their lives to do this for you.
