Nes mini has USB data

    There is already encryption. But Allwinner CPU are very easy to mod.

    They could just not route the USB data lines to the plug any more, have them as pads instead. Minor inconvenience at the factory, but would probably lock out the majority of amateur NES modders ("soldarrin', whassat? How do?").
    I'd be surprised if they went to that trouble though tbh, unless there already was a board revision planned anyways, and I don't think that's likely this early in the device's life.

    I bet nintendo is going to go all Ique on the mini's ass and release a PC software (or even Switch) for BUYING more games

    All the boards are programmed through the USB port using Allwinner's tools (like Livesuit).
    I think they don't care at all, as long as the NES mini is sold.
