I've been refreshing viletim's page every day waiting for these to get back in stock! I'm going to install mine in a Twin Famicom. Has anyone hardwired theirs for a certain pallette or allow you to switch between them? I was thinking I'd hardwire it to always use NTSC Composite pallette, not a huge fan of the RGB pallette to be honest.

Im adding the switch, but its not the one coming with the kit. Ill likely leave it on composite or improved most of the time, but its just nice to have the ability for any of them. I believe a user on shmups hardwired his to composite.

You dont need the switch. If you just plan on using one palette, just short its switch connection to ground.

He said he was planning on having more in stock sometime in December.

How does the image quality of the NESRGB compare with a PC10 RGB PPU?

A guy on YouTube by the name of RetroGameTech did a comparison. Quality is good. It has a PC10 PPU mode to mimic the PC10 palate. It's a major improvement over the PC10 PPU.

LOL, that is pretty funny. In any case, I want one, but budget for "toys" is a bit limited right now. Hmm damn... By the time I make my mind about it he's going to be out of stock again I bet..

anyone here knows a source (maybe an eBay 3rd party cable?) where I can harvest a couple of male video connectors for the rgb cable? I have an av famicom and it would be a same to drill yet another hole when the av port on the back is easily modded to accept a fully fledged nintendo scart cable... plan is to transplant the nintendo connector to Tim's scart cable that I also ordered...

To make things easier to google, connector name is "8 pin Mini-DIN".

I think he means connectors for the AV famicom, not a mini din.

I actually bought a bunch of cheap SNES third party AV cable to reuse the AV port connector.
Problem is these might not have a metal pin for all the connections... Just on those that the cable use...
I had to transplant the pins from one connector to the next, effectively requiring 2 cables to have 1 connector with enough pins.
