New to the forum. I am really enjoying reading up on stuff here and thought I'd toss up my stuff pics. Cabs: Neo 25, custom wired for stereo via mikes dual board with a Naomi cart setup and 4 slot mvs mobo. Neo Candy, wired up with mvs and jamma test buttons, pause switch, and game switch button. Looks a bit messy but is very practical. Mikes dual board with a hyper 64 system and mvs 4 slot. Mini cab, with neo cp and Daraku Tenshi Sega Astro City with X-Tom 3d in medium res. Pretty rare game... xtom-3d vid: (sorry, no sound) http://s10.photobucket.com/albums/a116/cossackred2/?action=view¤t=DSCN8964.flv OK Baby cab w/ base removed, use to have Batman Forever, then a modded xbox (crapped out/getting fixed), reason for the marquee and lil box on the cp. My first cab (fixed up from JUNK!!) what the above cab looked like when I got it: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0903/cossackred/Dscn5323.jpg Home made cab/table/thing, lol...with MegaView 27 monitor. The marquee this doesn't go with this, it's just up there to get it out of the way. guts: Bartops: Maybe the most rare item I own...Americana Bartop on the right. I sold one to my friend Daryll and have been kicking myself ever since, lol Projects: Sega Blast City I have been working on. Crane Game, fully working, just needs some tlc and plexi. Dreamcast to Jamma via vga box and controller hacks.. (yes, the nes was dead and got before I emptied it) Games...mostly boxed and put away...but here's the old shelf...not much. systems, all that's left.. DC x2 psOne x2 genesis 1,2,3, Nomad ngpc gba Nes snes x2 modded xbox xbox 360 Wii Small amount of Wii stuff: Very humble (and dusty) living room setup: (yeah, I watch this show on occasion, lol) Things I've built and sold/gutted.. consolized 2 slot (sold) consolized MV-1C (gutted) Superguns I was making for a while, but the profit wasn't worth my time. (not the best looking, but they were very functional for that time) Consolized 4 player IGS PGM system: (sold) supergun in a broken DC case...my very first supergun Yeah, I still have it, lol... Well, that's it for me...yeah, no dev stuff, but I am pretty sure it would all be shelf decoration. Anyways, I am really enjoying reading up on your site. It's a wealth of information and from the looks of it, full of very knowledgable folks. Hopefully I can contribute in one way or another. I am also enjoying the "no BS" you guys have going on here.
Fantastic collection. Very envious as I love arcade machine. Sadly, I have never found anywhere local enough for me to take advantage of cheap purchase. The only arcade item I have being an unused Konami System 573. Would eventually like to get it working as I have 1 games title for it. Nothing special, but would be good to see it running.
thanks guys what game do you have? I heard the baseball game is pretty fun. The other games looked like they needed dedicated cabinets (or at least a fishing pole cp) besides the arcade. Side note: Do you know if the vga signal is picky like the Pyson hardware. I would have had Winning Eleven 2003 in that home made cab/thing but the monitor wouldn't pick up the vga signal (it won't take an atomiswave signal either). The guy I sold it to popped it right into a naomi universal and it was beautiful. Living in the UK, you definitely would have an easier time picking one of those up. Either way, that's a very cool piece of hardware to have.
That's a very nice collection of arcade cabs you have there. Also xtom-3D looks like a pretty cool shooter. Yet another that should have came to the DC. yakumo
I wasn't that lucky I am afraid, no baseball just a rather frustrating horse racing title "Dark Horse Legend" which is in Japanese. I'd like to see how it works as I know from the seller's images that it was tested as fully functional. Even more frustrating is that I don't know anything really about arcade systems and have no idea whether the VGA output will work on a standard screen or not. Some guys in the arcade thread were talking to me about it, but I gave up on it as I was fixing a PS2 Tool at the time. Now it's repaired I can concentrate on the 573.
I know what you mean Assembler. And you new guys need to stop tossing around the word "Junk". If thats junk, then I might as well stop playing games now hah.
When I saw the words "guy's junk" in the title, an arcade cabinet wasn't the first thing to come to mind. In seriousness though, you've got some really cool stuff. I really like the MVS board in a Saturn case.
^^^thanks yeah...I live in Cali, but Nor Cal. Not quite as easy. It's all about keeping your eyes open on forums, ebay, and craigslist..etc.. "Stuff" ;-) like this pops up everywhere.
