No it doesn't ! It looks very nice, far nicer than the 360 (which I like) and a million times better than the PS what the fuck are we thinking in design terms 3. Yakumo
Does it really matter if the power supply went into the stand or into the console directly? Who really gives a shit where it goes? So long as it powers up for you to play some kick ass games and it's not in an inconvenient location it shouldn't really be news-worthy!!
What an ugly console. I don't even think the word console fits such a horrendous machine. Like Hawanja said, it looks more like an external DVD drive.
WHO CARES WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE?! That's the least of, what should be, your worries. I just worry about 3 things: 1: game quality 2: control 3: price
I care what it looks like. With that being said, I don't make it my sole decision in whether or not I will purchase the machine, but I do think looks are important.
I prefer the AC to be external. What if I don't want to use the stand in a horizontal position? I demand symmetry! Oh, and Alien Workshop, I agree with the looks being a plus, but not major point thing.
External AC also have the benefit of being importer friendly, just buy a localised AC adapter and you're golden, rather than having to hook up through a heavy stepdown/up converter *shakes fist at his US PS2*
Not bad, I wonder if the analog unit will be a pack-in with the remote since they're showing it all the time.
if the ps3 will be region free it'll have 110-240v voltage, so no need for external adapter... if ninty will go the same way being region free they'll make sure you don't need ext adapters too
External AC adapters are also great because they can be easily replaced. Lord knows how many times when I worked at Gamestop I had to tell PS2 owners the internal power supply had been fried by lightning, and that they were screwed. However, when a Gamecube owner came in with a fried AC adapter, $15 solved all their problems (well, gaming at least).
I think its the best looking console of the next-gen. The others are big, bulky, noisy, VCR / BBQ like, and curvy. This one is sobber, minimalistic, small, quiet and stylish. I guess ut depends on your tastes. Its great to see you posting, i thought you left the forums a while ago. cahaz
Yeah, and my tastes favor things like the SNES. I know I'm pretty much alone in that regard. You know how most of our members lean when it comes to design/art. Anyway, I haven't actually been gone. I've just been really busy with school and everything. This past week was spring break, so I've had a crap load of time to waste.
