Hmm. The animated videos Juste posted make this thing look like a dogs dinner. What a shame! You can't make SF High Def then have some horror story animation running then thing into the ground like that. If the designers were in front of me right now I would slap them upside the head and tiger uppercut them into oblivion! I was expecting SF3 quality animations. How foolish.
After all these years not many fighting games have been able to pull off SF3 3S qualilty. Its a real shame but it looks like it may stay like that for a while or at least till KOF XII games out.
Heheh. I don't get why people exspected new animations. It was stated by capcom long in advance there would be no new frames to the animations. Just redoing the art work for HD and few modifications to the games gameplay mode.
Such artwork with early 90s animation is a complete waste of resources IMO, like a ferrari with go-kart wheels
When Capcom said they wouldn't add new animations, I didn't mind back then, as a thought it would look the same. But like XxHennersXx said, I think the new art makes some animations look odd now.
Ken and Ryu are the best though. Yeah, sure, Zanny and Guile are fun with skill and every character has a place. Chun-Li is a jumpy kick biatch. But no one is as flexible, easy and fun to play as Ken/Ryu/Gouki.
Another Street Fighter II? Isn't this just Capcom beating a dead horse already with all these incarnations of Street Fighter II? Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Street Fighter fan but enough is enough. When Street Figher II.5 Super-Hyper-Turbo-Battle-Galactic-EX-Zero-Alpha-Omega-Anthology-Plus-Lightning-Speed-Geo-Tag-Gold-Championship Edition comes out in a year or so, maybe they will see it's time to move forward. LOL
I think it's more like Capcom selling out by letting some crappy new handheld/Xbox live/Playstation Net developer remake their game. It wasn't their idea, and I'm sure if it were, it wouldn't be this bad. Since the people who are developing it have an appendage which writes/ports arcade emulators for consoles, it wouldn't surprise me if the lack of original animation could have something to do with them emulating the game backend then plopping their animation on top.
If i remember right, they actually announced that it was that. That way all the chains and combos would remain exactally the same..
