Updated the Famicom to NES pin adapter section: http://assemblergames.com/wiki/dogatemysnes/pmwiki.php?n=Topics.FindingFAMToNESPinAdaptersInCertainNESCarts Nice article! Great to see you finally have an avatar ;-)! Nice work everyone !
Assembler, just sent you a PM. For the next big update i'm planning, i can use that image hosting you promised.
Updated the Video Game Consoles List, looks more like Mr. Casual's http://assemblergames.com/wiki/dogatemysnes/pmwiki.php?n=Topics.ListOfEveryReleasedVideoGameConsole
Btw, in the ASSEMbler history section, you can also add Retro Gamer magazine to the list of places mentioned. Since you're this month's "Website of the Month". It's been sent to ex-subscribers, and should be on general UK sale on the 5th of January. If anyone has a copy, and a working scanner, you should put up an image here for people to see.
I'm adding some small stuff while Assembler sets up the FTP. Anyway, if you know something about the PlayStation BB Navigator and know official HDD supported Games ( Both USA and JAP ), let me know. I'm trying to make the most complete article about the PS2 HDD on the internet
The issue cover has a little guy with a funny hat, reaching for a wolf medallion (Sabre Wulf reference I believe), while being chased by some nasties. Issue 20... I think. I forget so easily these days.
I'm updating the server throught the day and changing ip addresses. I will also be installing a chat option, and bittorrent tracker. The ftp for the wiki is to follow, so as I said, e-mail all files to me and I will ftp them for now.
I have split up the Development section into 2 parts, Hardware & Software, and hope that is okay. I've also refined/added pics and listed more hardware & software: http://assemblergames.com/wiki/dogatemysnes/pmwiki.php?n=Topics.DevelopmentHardware http://assemblergames.com/wiki/dogatemysnes/pmwiki.php?n=Topics.DevelopmentSoftware Added some articles: http://assemblergames.com/wiki/dogatemysnes/pmwiki.php?n=Topics.RAREWAREGraphicsBox http://assemblergames.com/wiki/dogatemysnes/pmwiki.php?n=Topics.SonicAdventure-SonicTeamConference-August1998 Since the original thread was deleted, ASSEMbler, can you please add a link to the WIKI page up top? We fear it will be lost one day... Thanks.
I can provide quite a lot of information for the AIR NiGHTS section, including several interviews with Yuji Naka and Naoto Ohshima from various magazines in which they discuss more about why the game was never finished, plus what may be the only existing screenshot, though I am still not 100% sure that it is genuine - perhaps if I posted it here first then somebody could help to verify it? I've also got direct feed images from all the prototype builds featured at the New Challenge and Tokyo Game Show events prior to the Dreamcast's release, including the original attempt at a port of Sega Rally 2 along with early versions of Virtua Fighter 3tb, Metropolis Street Racer, Sonic Adventure, Geist Force and the various hardware tech demos (Iri-San, Tower Of Babel, Future City, etc). For some reason, these were all briefly available on Sega of Europe's site when the region-specific blue Dreamcast logo was first announced. There were also some renders of VF3 that I've not seen anywhere else, such as high resolution versions of the backgrounds you see on the final game's stage select screen, but sadly I didn't get these - hard drive space was quite limited back then, you see! P.S. I've posted what may be the only known screenshot of AIR NiGHTS here: http://www.segafans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1613&pid=20922&st=0&#entry20922 Anybody care to validate this one for me, as I'm not even sure if it's real or not. If it is genuine, why did Sega release just a single picture, or was it leaked unoffically somehow? EDIT: The image of "AIR NiGHTS" has been confirmed as fake, based on a screenshot from Cotton on the Dreamcast. Oh, well...
Please Contribute Come on people, the dev section on the wiki is looking rather sad. I know that alot of the stuff which is listed there people in the forums own, and it is for the benefit of the community. There have been some members that have contributed quite a bit to the dev section but really there is alot more information out there ready to be put in. Of the 100 odd topics there, only 15 have been done, it has been over a month since the launch and its needs more. PLEASE people can you contribute. Thanks
Shouldn't be added a topic for TEST items? I mean, not dbug units, but items like Nintendo Counter Tester, Test Carts, NTF2.5 and so on. Items used in repair centers. added an article on hasbro toaster http://assemblergames.com/wiki/dogatemysnes/pmwiki.php?n=Topics.HasbroToaster
