It's you're game. Xian, if I sell a game to you, you're free to do whatever you want with it. You can keep it for yourself, you can sell it to someone else, you can burn it, destroy it, or do whatever else you want with it. But if you choose to dump the game or make a mass release of it, then you risk the charges and penalties of a copyright infringement lawsuit. NGF has the rights, but we're not interested anymore. NGF can do a mass release because we have the rights for repackaging and distribution (as playmore verified). Our rights are grandfathered in from snk-japan (not from playmore). We are not able to sell or transfer our rights to anyone/company without written agreements from playmore on said transfer. That being said, it would cost be costly. I am not a lawyer and I am in no way giving legal advice. Anyone thinking of making a mass release of any game, without written permission from the copyright owners, is risking a lawsuit and possibly paying a heavy fine if the copyright owner pursues the issue. (no matter what system) Caution is key In the case of playmore, I would be extremely careful. They took us to court and we did indeed have the written permission. It was just a costly oversight on their part (in our NGF case, playmore is the one that should have been more careful and used a lot more precaution). That being said, playmore has been releasing games for the wii and playstation store, so they are still actively in charge of their interests, and more than likely they will pursue the matter of infringement. .
So for the titles that you have distribution rights for are you able to do the same? Can you release titles on the Sega Dreamcast, Xbox, Gamecube, 360 arcade, playstation store, Iphone, PC, etc etc?
Dion, this really is just my honest unsolicited advice. If you want to be treated like a regular person, then do your best to act like one. You can wear your ego on your sleeve, and the way you created this thread is an example of that.
oh your not selling neo geo games any more that sucks i need to get ac cord and aperter for my neo geo please call me at 702-202-3533 dion what do you do this days i whated to get rage of dragons
dion is neo geo frecks still around what do you do this days now dion i went to the store you work at they told me you dont work there any more
3 Unreleased Neo-Geo games... Just wondering if you can give us more info on this? Are you negotiating with companies that are currently releasing Neo-Geo games... I.E. NG.DEV.TEAM (Fast Striker, Last Hope, ), Neo-Conception International (Bang Bang Busters), or with private collectors who may just want to add it to their own collection? Prices too high?! Speaking of NG.DEV.TEAM, what do you think about homebrew Neo-Geo releases? How about the price? 399EUR ($561.50 USD). Do you think they are charging too much for an MVS homebrew cart. I know it's not the best comparison, but I've seen those 100in1 Neo-Geo MVS carts (which contain around 50 or so different games) for around $100. So I can't imagine the parts are the reason for the almost $600 price tag.:fresh: I can see that type of price for an AES, but for an MVS is seems very high to me. {} {} {} {}
Yeah, I'm really interested in this. I'd be more than happy to send you a cart and pay for a fully official Last Odyssey conversion.
You need to remember that MVS games weren't always $50-100. When they were new they also had a beefy price tag.
dion it was posted on neo geo .com are you going to upgrade neo geo frecks i nedd to geta ac cord and aptder fopr my neo geo please call me at 702-202-3533 what new neo geo games do you have dion
Oh jesus, we got Leslie up in the house now. Everyone cover your face and turn around while he wanks off to Athena. He should only be a minute or so.
I hope it was Last Odysey that sold and we will be seeing next with Mystic Wand in second. Neo Pool Master lost priority as it is unfinished. dion, don't you think it's time to bring those videos you did into present days and either put them on you tube or film new, better ones for you tube. With the way that things have changed and how others have done similar I would have thought you would have done that by now.
Well not that low obviously, but MVS prices were $500-$700 for a reason. The reason... They were marketed for arcade owners to make money on. Back in the early 90's I never paid more than $170 for a brand new AES game while a friend of mine who bought them for his arcade was paying $500-$700 for the exact same games. I doubt many people are buying the MVS version of Last Hope or Fast Striker to put them in an arcade setting and make money on them.
In Japan there are a lot of arcade ops running fast striker, of course they had to purchase the arcade op version which I think was $800-1200.
Dijon ,as a new aes owner ,how can one like myself prevent themselves from being sold a duff/fake/boot game ,especially when it comes to the more sought after titles?What should i be aware of ,any specific sellers and what happens if i get scammed by a shoddy salesman ,pull the old apple cucumber trick (again)? ⠠⠓⠕⠝⠑⠎⠞⠇⠽⠀ ⠽⠕⠥⠀⠉⠁⠝⠀⠞⠗⠥⠎⠞⠀⠍⠑.
The name is Dion. Inspection There is really no way to be fully certain you're buying a 100% original cartridge unless you inspect the game both inside and out. There is no real "bootleg" aes games, since all will use authentic snk boards, rom chips, cartridge casing, and cartridge box. The items that could/may be counterfeited would be the insert, sticker, and possibly (but highly less likely), the full game manual. But as I stated, you would need to know exactly what it is you're looking at if you inspected the item. I tend to believe most people are generally honest. And let's face it, we're dealing with video games (not autographs, paintings, currency or baseball cards). Select few titles demand high prices The only games worth really examining would be the games of super rarity and extreme value: (english versions) KoF2000, Kizuna Encounter, Ultimate 11, Metal Slug, and Quiz Chibi. Rising Other english aes titles currently on the rise include Double Dragon, World Heroes Perfect, Real Bout, Real Bout Special, Mark of the Wolves, Metal Slug 2, Last Blade 2, Art of Fighting 3, Ninja Masters, and Neo Turfmasters. But none of those are really worth enough money for someone to commission and pay for a full offset print job on inserts, stickers, and manuals (it's too costly for the little profit that would be made). .
Every game playable on a Master System? God, think what Halo would be like! ..... Watch out, people will be accusing you of selling them dodgy mustard next! ;-)
Color Coded Genre Stripes Some people question if they were used by snk, so I decided to add more photos for people to view. Here is a small sample of the color coded genre striping. But as uaual, snk-japan botched these up from time to time as well. The genre stripe is on the spine, below the screen shot. ACTION: ORANGE Genre Stripesnk-japan) Eightman Metal Slug X PUZZLE: YELLOW Genre Stripesnk-japan) Magical Drop 3 VARIETY: PINK Genre Stripesnk-japan) Quiz Chibi Marukochan Deluxe Leaflets with genre striping: snk-america Catalog showing various genres: snk-america action, sports, shooting, puzzle, racing: Hopefully now more people will understand that snk-japan did indeed plan a classification/genre system for their titles. Too bad snk made so many errors and didn't follow through with it for the english releases. There are the "wanna be" experts that have denied all of this, but all the verification is right in the photos. It's just a matter of looking back to the release of the system, seeing the trade show booths in person, and glancing over the promotional material to see that genre/category coding was all mapped out by snk from the beginning. .
