Join the club I too think it's a silly name, but like the above poster said it's not going to be the final name it's just a codename they've been using since 2008. I'd like to see something like 'PortableStation Generation - PSG' Oh wow I didn't realise that goes to show I've been paying attention, should be intresting.
That may be the case with Apple but that is for a digital download, so not really comparable to dedicated gaming hardware or physical media which has higher restribution costs etc. nor really a gaming company at all. How much is Final Fantasy VII for PSone on PlayStation Store there? It is £7.99 here and I'd wager it is probably $7.99 there. Outside of Apple this has been the case for most Nintendo, Sega or Sony stuff since the 8-bit & 32-bit days respectively
I do but he'd want his cut:fresh: Fony, however are anticipating a simultaneous gobal release:drool: even if that's not the case with us in the EU due to stock levels I think the worst case scenario would be 2-3 months, worth the wait (maybe). Nobody cares about us in the EU just push them to one side and over-charge them!
Used to be the case but not anymore, you'll be prompted with this message: This item is not available in your territory:fresh:
buygame2.com $450. Seems they already have them in stock too. -edit- I'm going to wait till the summer to import one from japan. By then it should be easy to get one around a reasonable $300 price.
Alas still worse at 1:0.799 than the 1:0.59 by Apple. It is also probably because of digital distribution. Maybe it is getting a little better these days but not by much. Even 1:1 with euro isn't that good for us as the exchange rate is shit. If we assume it was almost 1:1 with $USD before, a reason it may close to the euro figure now is because the euro is weak :S I'm being offered £1 = 1.16 euros by my bank atm... it used to be closer to 1.5, which was then closer to the USD rate too, so maybe it always 1:1 with euro, but even then used to get £1 = $1.6 - 1.9 USD or so too so maybe not
We'll see when they announce the price over here. We usually pay roughly the same in pounds as Americans pay in dollars, that's what "just like usual" means. (edit: missed LeGit saying the same thing, didn't mean to repeat the point.)
Certainly a technical marvel, but if it's anything like the PSP it'll have one or two really great games and that's it. Not worth it for $250 IMO.
I am doing this too. I'm not getting an NGP, or any other Sony product. Maybe a used one, in 2015 when it's obsolete and there's like 20 different ways to hack it. And yeah, NGP does remind me of the Neo Geo Pocket.
Between $250 and 280? not bad, not bad at all! And the name is just temporary, I'm sure its all because some marketing douche says using PSP2 isn't correct because the other portable is called 3DS, and 3 is more than 2 Same shit that with the X360 and PS3, remember?
I'd help people get them sent over from Japan if there's demand for it... and I wouldn't take much more than wanting postage and shipping and my train fare covered I think it looks great and will probably get one.
 And YOU, sir, just made it onto the note with the big "/!\ keep him to like you!" on it  Seriously, that would be GREATELY appreciated!
