14:44: And Another Code (aka Trace Memory, the DS adventure game). And Sin and Punishment 2. God damn. They couldn't have shown these at, oh, I don't know, E3? O_O NEW SIN AND PUNISHMENT. now all I need is a new hotel dusk!
I'm guessing this one must have more internal memory than the DS considering the builtin browser. I wonder if DS flash carts will work with this one as it could be awesome for homebrew with two touchscreens
No, only one screen, like all ds's o Thinner, lighter than DS Lite with bigger screens o No GBA slot. o 300,000 pixel camara o SD card slot o Speakers larger and have improved sound quality o AAC audio player (No MP3 support?) o Downloadable software (DS Ware). Wii Points renamed to Nintendo Points. Software price brackets will be Free/200/500/800 points. o Web browser (downloadable from DS Ware store) o Will release in Japan November 1 for 18900 yen (about $180), two colors: White and flat black.
So no touchscreen on both screens? And less battery time from what I've heard. No buy for me. I think I'll replace my phatty with a lite when this one is released as they hopefully will drop in price
What is it with companies to upgrade their systems like that?I'm still with the phat and it looks like I'm staying with it or at least going for a lite. This thing sucks too much battery ... To hell with that I'm waiting for a DS 2.
I can't see this thing taking off in NA with the exception of ds/nintendo fanboys. Especialy if it retails at a price equal to the core psp.
3 - 4 hours Battery-lifetime (DS Lite: 5 -8 hours) if they say 3 - 4 hours its realistic almost 3 hours. just a note: it will ship with a new AC-Adapter which is not compatible with DS Lite.
For you man and anyone whos interested. First screens! Good to see its like the original http://www.gamekyo.com/newsen29162_sin-and-punishment-2-first-screenshots.html
damn, I m actually really impressed by Sin and Punishment 2. The graphics are beyond what I expected on the Wii. I ll buy this title on its launch! is it US-bound?? regarding mp3/aac: the Wii dropped mp3 support with Photo Channel Update 1.1 (non-mandatory) in favour of AAC. I see this being the norm with regard to the DSi as well.
I have the DS Fatty and a PSP Slim. I don't need any new versions of these. Handhelds are gettings to be as bad as Car makers. They have to change shit like every year. They can't just not fuck with things. I think it's neat the features they add, but at the same time it's like why bother? Come out with a new handheld instead you bastards. :O But oh no we can't do that until DS sales start to fall off the cliff. The same reason the GBC kept going instead of the GBA coming out.
Can't we just have the original DS and the Lite because we don't really need another DS. What would have been better is more hardware like memory and stuff already in the DS and a simple update system which would add new features like a web browser and stuff I'd rather see Nintendo working more on the next generation of consoles and handhelds rather than messing about making new updates systems.
And I thought the E3 conference was bad... What I dont understand is why nintendo is going multimedia after two of its most succesful consoles being just for gaming. Is not like the DS and Wii failed, and due to a lack of features... Anyway, is japan-only until late 2009, nintendo wants to squeeze the regular DS during the next holidays. My predictions? full of FAIL: the SD slot will only cut the middleman (R4) to piracy, and make it even easier since you can fit pretty much all DS games in one 16GB SD card. The camera is a really bad idea, and the dual-touch screens will barely be used at all. I bet is going to stay in japan like the PSX did.
Here's a tip: don't complain and instead let people who want to buy these revisions buy them. Everyone wins.
I dont complain, now I can use tons of pirated games without a R4 or those pesky microSD cards, thanks nintendo!:110::dance::lol: BTW, both cameras are VGA.
i have a phat DS. I use it for some GBA action too. never got a Lite so this might be a good chance to get the ultimate version of the DS, although something tells me that it's properly protected and keyed against piracy.
