Something like "I know this game is crap, but please don't switch me off" springs to mind.

Good point against however as again not only is the power button the wrong colour, it also appears to be the wrong size and shape. No design fluidity, considering everything else is rounded, why would Sony decide to fit a square peg into a round hole?

Look at all the other pieces of that unit and the buttons etc are all rounded except the on/off switch. You'd expect it to be similiar to the lozenge design of the Mega Drive II wouldn't you? I mean none of it fits together. It's like a Scotch Broth console, just any old crap Sony allegedly had sitting on their workbench fired into a proto. Nah, the more I look at it the more I think "home made!"

Thought the same thing (as I am sure everyone else did). How could he know for sure that this is "Authentic" with just these pictures and Little to Zero info? He cant, thats how.
I am not claiming its not, just stating a simple fact. None of us can say this is Authentic or Not. Thats the beauty of Forums and Opinions! Yay!

considering it smells like horseshit, why do we even bother discussing the thin possibility of this being something real and of value? Aren't we collectors that know our stuff better than to fall for this?:p

No one knows either way, it is all speculation. It's fun to argue about it, but no one can be certain.

Real or Fake who really cares, we all looked with excitment at the concept pictures of the SNES CD 15 years ago, like this one:

    or this one:

    or even this one

    (source: http://gemanizm.main.jp/manga/ somebody translate this?)

And I'm personnally looking at the new pictures with the same level of excitement.

IMHO, this new proto is real, even if the Playstation logo is not right and blabla, it's the kind of crap design that Sony was able to comeup at the time, take an old VCR shell and stuff an SFC in it. Even the PS3 looks like a rounded up cheap VCR with shiny plastic, even the on and eject button look like their old betamax VCR button...

The Sonintendo partnership has still a lot of mystery to be discovered, I guess the owner found that proto in a skip or bin. It's probably not even functional but there are other console manufacturers who licensed their console to other manufacturers like SEGA...so why not them...

If fake then cool, it's sure look good...at least the SFC look better.

Looks like it came from a PolyStation and the case was redone.

Other than that the molding of the case, etc. looks professional and factory fabricated, not some homemade shit.

The guy said that the "Sony ninjas" came after him so there will be no more discussion about it until sometime in the far future.
