Speaking of legality of owning nukes, Gentlemen, Israel *COUGH* does not belong to the regulatory body and is not inspected by anyone. So there's no reason why Iran should put up with US and UN regulation if Israel doesn't. And no, Israel hasn't got the right to have nukes since no one around them does. Besides, Iran has accepted more than the news would want you to believe regarding their supervision. They just cant be forced into full US control, or any foreign control when it comes on how they conduct their own internal energy policies.
Besides, it was the US that used nukes in Japan back in the day and it's the US with the bad track record of wars , not Iran, so they better keep their advice to themselves when it comes to the middle-east, where both Bush senior and junior have fucked up. Clinton didn't mess with the middle-east, and look how much good he did to the economy

 

Also not many people don't remember how israel was born.. by a neverending series of terroristic acts against the UK ofrces in the area! funny that people from palestine are doing the same now against them...

Also, in this world, the only way your country (provided it's a "poor" one) can try to get his share of wealth, recognization and not riskying invasion from foreing countries willingly to bring democracy is to scare them shit out of them with a nuke... i mean anyone here thinks that iraq was ANY worst than Pakistan? and Afganistan? Iraq and Afganistan fall because they missed nuclear bomb, so it's OBVIOUS that Iran, north Corea etc are RUSHING to nuke for not having iraq-like problems. Pakistan was fast enough to get a nuke, so US HAD to make them their allies.

Blah blah, only the last 2 years Israel fought the English army (and the arabs). First the fought with them.

If you had anyone in the army, if they were shot down by anyone, you wouldn't care if it's civilians or soldiers dying, they d be equaly human to you on that day. Just see the pain in so many families that sent their kids in wars, not one of them feels comfortable with their death, even if it was done in the line of duty. No one wants their children to fight, hell, most people have cold feet when they step on the battlefield to fight. Killing your first few isnt exactly a joy-ride either, if you're a soldier.

 

I'm not trying to conving your or anybody. I'm just talking about the whole situation.

I know North Korea is a threat and that Kim Jong Il is a crazy dictator. What i tried to show you guys is that UN should make him stop. Not the US president or anyone else.

Some stuff like cars using ethanol is something new to almost everybody in the world. We have cars using this as fuel since the early 80's.

The problem is that they provide terrorists with weaponary - they sell their gear to anyone, and if we allow them to continue to develop "WMD"s then who knows what will be waiting for us in the future.

Also those pictures mean jack shit. North Korea has one of the biggest armies in the world, that is all they spend their money on.

Right, and since they've isolated their people from the rest of the world and convinced them that the US will attack at any moment they've created their purpose: to protect the people. Kim Jong Il has convinced his people that there is actually something worse than him.

 

That's crazy: This was a sub-surface test - there won't be any pollution or radioactive fallout driving to Japan.

If they want their bomb so much they should have it. They'll notice that it's worth nothing. International politics will change but that's more depending on economy and religion than everything else. Let's see 20 years later: Europe will be bigger and prosper, China will rise to one of the world leaders and the US will still start wars for peace (in reality for influence and money).

I concur with you completely Sir. When MGS2 came out, I didn´t play it, because I didn´t have a PS2, but since I have now played the XBOX version, I agree with you about the patriots (strange that the fictitious scenario is about taking control of the masses is really quite true now adays). Sorry for mixing game fiction into a NorthKorean neuclear bomb thread, but I felt it was fitting.

I think he is meaning what country has dropped a bomb on people. And that answer is only one (recorded) and that is USA with the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs

 

Whether the A-bombs were justified or not (I'm not saying they are, but there is a very valid argument that far fewer Japanese and Americans died b/c of them) is beside the point. I do think it's all fucked up to be honest. NK has been in the news in the Asian region for years. Americans generally know nothing about it b/c they have nothing to offer the US after invasion. If they had oil, you can bet your ass there'd be a US invasion years ago.

 

OK guys, let's keep it clean. We all know the US has dropped nukes more than anyone else but that's done and over with. We area new generation to the arse holes who dropped it and commanded the attack.

Kim Jon Il is a nut case and the majority of people in North Korea live in fear. In Japan we see more "secret" footage of North Korea than anywhere and I can tell you those people are brain washed from birth. They have no idea what the outside world is like. When the North Korean volleyball team came to Japan last year they were not allowed to look out of the bus windows at all !! North Korea is also filled with concentration camps filled with those who have tried to escape. People (women and men) have to sleep standing at times. North Korea is hell on earth with Kim Jon Il being the devil. The nut cases in middle Asia are crazy but this guy is one step ahead.
