Oh yeah. Forgot about that. North Koreans would come to Japan via sea then Kidnap Japanese to teach the North Koreans Japanese so that they could come back here to cause some shit. Japan knows about the kidnapped people as do South Korea yet North Korea deny the fact. Yakumo
I've seen some of the videos Yakumo is talking about. They have a few hundred thousand people in concentration camps. They have video of them carrying their own feces up a hillside to use as fertilizer. Not that anything could top the number that have starved under KJI, tho. "Americans generally know nothing about it b/c they have nothing to offer the US after invasion. If they had oil, you can bet your ass there'd be a US invasion years ago." I'd say that I disagree, but I'm honestly not sure if you're being serious or not...
North Korea has sent some of the Japanese people home, after the former Japanese prime minister went to them. But there are too many lies, and stuff. And here I believe more in Japan, than the opposition.
This just in.... SEOUL — A North Korean official said Tuesday that the United States should agree to hold direct talks with his government on security guarantees to avert a situation in which Pyongyang would feel compelled to launch nuclear-tipped missiles, South Korea's Yonhap News Agency reported. "We want this situation to be concluded before the unhappy situation arises in which we fire nuclear missiles, and this depends on how the United States acts," the official was quoted as saying in Beijing on condition of anonymity. What Pyongyang want is its safety, including "a guarantee of our regime," the official said, speaking a day after Pyongyang said it conducted an underground nuclear test." Like I said...it's all about KJI keeping power. That's what the entire country of North Korea is about and that's what is behind their (his) every action.
i contest the method not only of israel or arabs. i was contesting terrorism. you got out of the point, and anyway, leaving bag bombs around is not any better then suiciding with bombs belts. still bombing still terrorism, still bad.
it's historical that the only reason for that was to see the bomb's effects on great populations. IMHO this is amongst the to ten of all times war crimes.
Ummm... actually they admitted to and returned 10 or so of them. I'm sure you know this. Is that all of them? I'm sure not, and there's probably many times more South Koreans being held against their will there. I had a friend that went to North Korea, actually. He showed me some photos. It was crazy. He'd take pictures of the city, and there were just no people out. It seemed very dismal. Some intersections actually had traffic people instead of traffic lights. He really didn't do anything. N. Korea did it for leverage. Even after they returned those, they didn't answer to a lot of others that were missing. Said quite a few were dead, and returned remains of people whose DNA didn't match at all. The said one of the women died in a car wreck. Uh... duh? No fucking cars in North Korea.
It takes two to Tango. The Japanese were by no means innocent pre-WWII. Again, I try to take a neutral stance, but I dare say the Japanese killed way more civillians in Asia than the two bombs did. That's the sad truth of it. Does it justify the bomb? Not for me to say. But Japan then and now are two completely different countries.
Let's not all blame KJI (only) for the status of North Korea at this point in time. KJI (Also known as KIG or Killer Instinct Gold, a popular fighting game on the n64) must have some really powerful buddies to be able to stay up there for so long. Don't forget how beyond politics and diplomacy, countries like the US have the NSA/CIA, Israel has Mussat (I hear they re really good at what they do, killing people) and I bet Japan has a set of ninjas (Like Kabamaru or Ganbare Goemon, without the weird hairdo) that are part of their secret agency. Since he hasn't been assassinated (which would be a relief for many, including his kids) as of yet, there might be two good reasons: a) no one can get to him because he's so stealthy and matcho (Which really means he has security up to the arse) or b) in the event of his demise, there are continuers of his hippy-hating policy that would take advantage of the fact and crush South Korea and maybe some other country in a demonstration of power, and how the "system" can survive even without KJI. The scariest part however isn't N.Korea. It's China, and how China would play in the event of a regional disruption. Let's just pray that their communist backbones don't stem from the same hole. But come on, concentration camps are so WWII. We need to find better names for N.Korea's playgrounds
Since Iran was brought up early in this thread some reading might be in order: http://regimechangeiran.blogspot.com/2005/10/why-havent-we-seen-this.html I mean this isnt some joe schmoe saying this. Its the leader of the country.
Dot50Cal: The president of Iran, is a former terrorist. But former vs. "former" well that is not up to me. To decide, but I can definitely say, I am not fond of him at all.
The website you have posted is of disputable objectivity. If tou read the banner it has the Shah's sign (post-iranian revolution) and they just plain don't like the Mulhas (for their own reasons, not really good ones at that either, more on that in a moment). It's only natural that they ll focus on bullshit like that to show a bad face of the regime. That said, Iran is pissed off with Israel, as much as all the countries in the region. With one big fat difference. Iran, unlike the other countries in the region, is self-sustained. Before the Islamic Revolution (Which I personaly do not agree with - I have been to Tehran, and I have been arrested , chased, etc by the police there- their dictatorship and lack of civil liberties) Iran , much like the United Arab Emirates today (where I also lived for some time) was in the limelight of the US and UK, upto the point that Mosadegh put an end to the exploitation of Iran's oil by foreign powers. That was what eventually led to the "installation" of this regime , sparked by the US government (Mr.Kissinger if I recall correctly ) and assisted by the CIA behind the scenes, with the "importation" of the radical Islamic leader, Khomeini. Much like Sadam and other pawns, he was also placed in Iran to cause political havoc, at which point the King (Shah) was thrown out and the country "turned Islamic". Prior to this regime, Iran was much like any country in Europe, where there were expensive cars, latest fashion, and lots of alcohol. Thereafter it literally SUCKED for a great deal of the people, since they enjoyed their non-islamic habits as much as any of us. However, what no one expected (not even the people who placed those Mulhas in there) was the amount of time they would stay in power. It should be noted at this point, that the US had kept a big amount of money on a sort of "trust" in US banks for Iran, which it has not yet returned to this day despite official demandings. Right after the Islamic revolution, the US supplied arms to Sadam, through Israel and the war began between Iran and Iraq. This was done in an effort to "manualy disarm" Iran's military forces by making them use all their weapons in defence of the country. In addition, since the regime was new back then, the US could have an upper hand through Sadam in the event that he won the war. Fortunately, this was not to be so. Not only did Iran kick Sadam's ass, they didn't retreat an inch from their borders. Many people fought for their country back then with whatever they had, against armed soldiers, a truly heroic defence in my opinion. Just to name an insident, an Iraqi tank was entering , at which point a young boy no more than 10, armed with grenades, rolled under the tank and as he was crushed, it exploded. There is a big picture of this boy in one part of Tehran (its a huge city), if any of you visit. Fast forwarding to the present however, and after so many embargos by the US , Iran came to be self-sustained. They stopped importing almost everything and started internal production. Be it cars, be it medicines, be it any kind of industry you can imagine, and now finaly nuclear power. Iran has oil, has coal, has great supplies of first class Uranium, and has very brilliant scientists (If you ever visit their schools you ll see that they give them so much homework and at such high levels, that university students seem kindergardners - Iran has the hardest educational system after Japan.). So, since it has all those things, it can really afford to talk and say whatever it wants. No one can cut the off from anything. This is unlike the Arab countries. Arab countries , like the UAE and Saudi have only got sand and oil, and someone has to buy that oil from them. So, they keep their mouths shut to be able to enjoy the flow of cash that comes from the West by trading their oil. This is the main reason why arabs are not united - it's not to each individual arab country's benefit to do so- and this is a tactic followed by the West to keep them apart and relatively quiet. The desire to kick Israel out has been there from day One of its creation. The argument is pretty simple too. "If the US and the UN loved Israel so much, why didn't they give them some of their land and instead they placed them in the middle of Muslems?" I can see why the people there are pissed off, I ve been to a few countries in the Middle East. They just want the West out of their business, and Israel is just an agent of the West as they see it. Visit the website of IMI http://www.imi-israel.com/Templates/Homepage/Homepage.aspx?FolderID=11 to see why they think Israel is the seller of death, placed in their region. It's not about religion at all, it's pure politics, and I find no fault in a country wanting to be run by its own kind or for a region to want to be a union of its own type, like the EU and the States.
And Tony Blair and Gearge Bush are not terrorists? They raid other people's countries for their own benefits, sounds about the same to me, just different teams. The term terrorist is one made to label the "bad guys", although most forget that there is no bad and good in the world, they re just points of view
I don´t like Blair, or for that matter Bush, heck I don´t even like my own government. So why I said he was a terrorist, has nothing to do with his religion. And yes I know, you qouted my reply, with a piece of humour in it. So no worries.
The nuke must have broken since it was made in Korea ;-). GaijinPunch. I doubt that we won't invade N. Korea because they don't have anything to offer. The US has certainly prepared for a possible invasion there if they are sending troops out on wargames simulating invasion against N. Korea.
If you guys really want to know more about the weapons and wars, and all politics behind it, just watch the documentary "Fog of War" with Robert Mcnamara. He explains some "lessons" about wars (ever since World War I) and everything connected to it. It's a very good documentary.
US already knew what were the effect of such weapons on item and constructions, and on the humans that were around at the tests (all died of cancer), so they knew perfectly what crime they were doing. the only reason behind that was to check mid and long time effects on great population and fertile soils (not neveda desert or such), another reason was to cool down and scare URSS that were far too bold at that time....
You won´t believe it, but a Danish TV crew, was some months ago in North Korea(they were in a cover as a communistic theatre troup), and they filmed from NorthKorea, and now what they filmed will be shown in December. Heck the most scary part was, they were in front in a big march. Well anyway, I just think the whole thing is scary. And well I remember back when they "blew up a mountain", then I knew they had the A-bomb. So this is their second test.
