How does an NTSC Dreamcast behave when a game attempts to output 50hz? Is the color PAL, NTSC, or a weird mix?

    Edit: not necessary

In my experience it would flicker a lot and the video would not sync correctly. I tried to play Deadly Skies and Soul Calibur on an NTSC system and it did this.

Hmm. Is it a proper sync signal? I don't own an oscilloscope, or whatever you'd use to accurately find out sync rate.
Too bad my Framemeister is still broken or bricked. That might've told me something.

I'm from Europe and i own a japanese DC.
Whenever i put a pal game in it (with a bootdisc, either codebreaker od utopia) it will be forced to 60hz.
Most games even skip the 50/60hz selection screen!

You can bridge two points under the board (R422) to force PAL games to 60hz when in NTSC mode, it does nothing if the DC is set to PAL.
