Great tips Mr Krisk & Mr Wiibrew, I'm not the most patient of people so will try and keep my eye out in the blog.

    Thanks again....

I've been noticing lately that my Saturn boots to the bios menu and prompts me to launch an application to launch Rmenu rather than simply booting Rmenu. Anyone know what's up with that? It works fine but I'd rather not go through the bios menu if I don't have to for time savings.

I've been getting this too but it's always happened to me. Using a 256GB PNY SD Card.

    Saturn Type?
    Rhea or Phoebe?
    Fw version?
    SD cluster size?
    Anything in the cart slot?
Have you modified the INI file?

I have both devices and never seen or heard of this issue, as both of mine work error free on a 64Gb 64kb cluster Kingston card.

What is populated in the 01 folder? and never mess with/modfiy anything in that folder. Try creating a new 01 folder and a new list.

It could be your SD cards, as I had issues with GDemu but switched to the Kingston brand and it fixed my problems, even though my original SD appeared to work from the get go..

The Saturn ODE's are little more forgiving, yet certain SD cards can still give mixed results from my findings.

I just tried with a Sandisk 32GB and it seems to automatically boot up rmenu fine now.
As for the PNY 256GB card that wasn't automatically booting rmenu, I'm using:
Japanese launch (VA0/Grey) Saturn, Rhea, FW 3.6.0 though 3.5.0 did the same, I tried with both 64K and 32K clusters, I have a backup memory cart inserted. Haven't modified any ini files. Not a huge deal either way as it's one button click to get into the menu.

in rmenu, is it possible to add folder for a better arrangement?
    like this:
    fighting game => 01 sf2, 22 fatal fury ;
    shmup => 52 layer section 72 salamander...

you'll have to arrange it yourself according to which folder you're using ...

It turns out the issue was with the tv itself so I am removing this post so it is not misleading.

Did you run the rmenu.exe in the 01 folder after putting all the games on the card?
You have to do this every time you change stuff on the sd card, it builds the menu image with an up to date list.

Just a quick question. I am having a problem generating the list using Rmenu. I have placed the menu program in folder 01 of my sd card and then some games in folder 02, 03, 04... (1 game per folder, all cdi files...). Now when I run the menu on the SD card on my PC, I get an "invalid CDI image" for whatever is in folder 03 (and then of course the list/scan stop). I have tried many different files, it always seem to happen. The cdi image work on Rhea directly, so don't know why it says they are invalid. Any ideas?
    Thanks

Just found that running the Rmenu program from the file on my Hard Drive (as someone mentionned a few pages ago) works fine. I then copy the file to the SD card and everything works as it should.

Yeah, for whatever reason I couldn't get RMENU to launch from the SD card, even when launching as administrator. The command prompt window would flash and disappear, the mouse icon would just spin. Had to open command console to kill it. Runs fine from the computer's HD as stated.

This does look appealing, my poor Saturn is dying :(. Just wished it had a GUI

Not sure what the issue is you guys are facing, I run mine quite happily from the (01) folder on the SD card, just right click it and 'Run as administrator' (under Windows 10 btw). I seem to be breaking all the rules and getting away with it, 128GB MicroSD card in an adapter that is itself in an extension to outside the console with no issues (almost 260 folders on it now). phew!

Uhh, it's not fancy but RMENU is a GUI and has been out for months now.

    Hello,

My Rhea is set up and working well with Kingston 128GB SD card and RMENU.

However, I can not figure out why it does not load RMENU when pressing reset.

RMENU loads up perfectly first time when powering on, then to get back to the menu I have to power cycle. Pressing reset just loads the previously loaded game.

It would make more sense if it went back to RMENU when using the reset button.

    Is this normal behavior?

Is RMENU still being worked on because it could really benefit from having a way to go to menu from in game, like the MEGA EVERDRIVE does.

    Cheers

Totally normal, hitting reset reloads the game. Getting back to the rhea menu requires a power down. It's working as it should

    That's a shame.

Would love to see something implemented in a future update to reset to menu or at-least give us the option and a controller command to menu.

    Cheers

    Hello guys!
I was wondering if anyone played Time Bokan shmup on Saturn with Rhea or on CD.. I happen to have a random bug at the end of any stage just before boss battle when yattaman are displayed. Normally a text box is also displayed but when it bugs, there's none and the game won't go any further. And when it happens after 3 or 4 stages, i tend to turn green and want to bash things! As i use Redump iso converted to cdi, i'm not sure it's defective or if i should look on the saturn or Rhea side. Thank you and excuse my engrish if any mistakes :)

Yeah, its normal as the dev has not implemented support for the reset_goto = 1 option, which would be Rmenu. Gdemu has this feature with gdmenu but not the Saturn when used with Rmenu.

Its not something i like having to switch on and off but depends on how often you are switching titles.
