Bringing this back from the dead as I have started to check more games. Here's the spreadsheet. If you want to add games let me know or request permission. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1HpxKGQ6wVTRevUdQ6_4rkuyF_ZugOgc2C4tXnZxBZCk/edit#gid=0 Tried Hot Wheels: Stunt Track Challenge...could not get widescreen or 720p. Added all of the widescreen codes from here: https://assemblergames.com/threads/xbox-widescreen-hacks.68347/
Please remove Midtown Madness 3 from the list. Video from the link in comment section has nothing to do with 1280x720 resolution support. I've recorded this video with real time upscaling from 720x480 video signal to remove youtube compression artefacts. MM3 only has widescreen hack for 720x480 res. MM3 actuallly kinda shows something glitchy in menu in 720p but does not work for me. Another my video with gta iii on xbox in 720p is real source recording without upscaling.
So I tested this OgXHD with Sonic games. Here are my results: 1. Shadow The Hedgehog 16:9 option does exactly nothing. Nothing changes. 720p does work but has many graphical glitches 2. Sonic Heroes 16:9 just like Shadow. But for some reason messes with Knuckles head on challenge select. 720p has the same glitches like Shadow. 3. Sonic Riders 16:9 works... only in menus (for example selecting the character)
Just to let you guys know, another guy started a similar thread over at emuxtras and has done games I never heard of working before, it is worth a check and maybe it will help your list and add more games? http://www.emuxtras.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=187&t=6203 Thread is already 10 pages long and barely got started March 23rd 2018, so there is bound to be a lot of new games for you to add.
Removed Midtown Madness 3. Sonic Heroes has been reported as working, using Aggressive, Full Byte Range. Yes, Anthony817 I am aware of that thread. I have updated the spreadsheet with the results there before I revived this thread.
Has anyone made a patcher that runs on the Xbox itself? Seems doable at least as a python script for Xbmc. Point it to an xbe. It searches the file for the given hex values, alters them, and updates the xbe (backing up the original of course).
Yup it’s doable with XBMC & Python, you will also need make sure you read the xbe files in chunks because if you don’t you will run out of ram quick due to some xbe files being over 40MB in size. ( I read them in 1MB chunks ) I was going to add a patcher to my downloader script at some point and just get the user to download patch files that then get applied to the game ( would require patch offsets and new hex code eg... as well as the titleid of the game ) but I can’t be arsed doing all the hard work as I never bother with Rez patches lol
Spreadsheet has been updated with all of the emuextras.net posts: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1HpxKGQ6wVTRevUdQ6_4rkuyF_ZugOgc2C4tXnZxBZCk/edit#gid=0 Up to 307 games tested.
