I don't think sflynn was offended by it but I understand that it could be a problem. Paulo was kind enough to pm me when he had a question about this IP which is prob the way to go.
As I posted in the moderator forum, I still think naming a city populated by a buttload of people spanning many miles is still completely different to posting someones exact name, address, date of birth, employers address, telephone number, pet/spouse names and penis size but I (probably) won't do it again -_- __________________ I Killed Bambi !
Now sflynn, im not saying you are a liar, but with such little proofs of you owning a realM2 unit everyone is goin to think this is a bogus post Be cool, dont yell at me, this was only an advise
On his site hes got a video he made. Ive never seen that video before and it does actually look like its his... Post a picture with your name on it... still i doubt he is just telling porkies.
sflynn: You don't mind if I put copies of those screens and vid from your site on my ftp do you (Seeing as how you put the scans I took on your site and all)? You'll get full credit for them in the file names of corse.
See my new thread for proof of ownership and new pictures. http://assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5841
Congrats on the find, Sflynn! Ah, the joys of collecting rare M2 stuff! If your source has a spare copy of D2 or IMSAI Racing let us know... I just got my M2 Dev System (as well as a Katana unit) in today. The Dev Card is Revision H (only 3 outputs in the back, as opposed to 4 on the previous one - I know, because it says so in the manual, in the changes section So M2 owners, which can you list the connectors on the back of your card so that I see which one was removed for this version?
i guess 99% of us have version h but i can check in the 2.7 release docu which connector was there maybe its stated
Hey Zappenduster did you notice the BIOS IC in the middle of the PCMCIA tray? I asked him to take some close up pics of it. I wish mine had the BIOS on the mobo
Hey there Flynn, so have you decided what you're going to do with the M2? Are you going to sell it, or hang onto it, or whatnot? For those who doubt, Flynn here is the real deal. He e-mailed me a few days before comming to the boards, looking for info. His tale is proof that maricles are real, and they happen at flea markets.
yeah the bios eprom what ever is a nice adition (iam not sure hadnt enough time to check the numbers since i got the latest pics today at 4am before i got to work) if anyone can tell what kind of ic it is it would be nice another thing is ssflynns m2 has a newer version of the bt video encoder was already wondering my self and we discussed it a little but for what would a console need a encoder ? (maybe some kind of camera addon planned in the future or so) but what i found even more funny and i didnt realize it till today check this image and ask your self whats there in the microcard slot... advanced micro devices ? amd i smell a conspiracy here :smt033
hmmmm *cries* hmmm well . I wish someone could make an M2 clone so other people (like me) could have a go with that beautifull machine it really is i love the colour , i love the design , all of it
Boy, I'm sure that machine has one hell of a story behind it ending up in a flea market. That's what I like about buying used stuff - not that I'll ever know the stories my used stuff has. Anyway, is there anyway he can get any software to test his unit? Cos seeing it in action would be monumentally cool.
hehe most people only have the dev system and getting the powermac maybe and i wont touch mine till i moved to my new home which could need around a month or so till iam finished
That is actually the BIOS loader. The micocard slot is in the front of the machine (memory card). I would love to know if that BIOS loader came from 3DO or if the owner made it himself. It should be very easy to make. Another interesting thing about that pic is the switch on the right hand side. I wonder what it's for. That's the only M2 I have seen with that switch. Also, that is a killer heatsink on the GPU. That is a very interesting M2. Just about every day I look at all the M2 pics I have and examine everything in them. Hmm I still haven't opened up mine yet. It would be very interesting if there were some differences from the other white M2's.
on the newer unit ( at least i think it is) the black one from ssflynn the heatsink is missing and is connected directly to the case nice idea but i wonder how hot that unit would get under full power (and what chip that is thats needing such a big heatsink)
