Oh really? That sucks :( Do you have a disc I can buy from you? Or do you know where I can get one from?

The couple guys that claimed to have the disc never responded when asked if they would mind helping rip it for others to use. Bad ad even offered to rip it and burn copies for everyone using his authoring burner if someone could obtain one.

Yes please, let's keep this alive! I would love to mod my Q DVD player and any future Q's as well. If anyone has a disc for sale or a method to obtain an authoring burner (model numbers / prices / etc.) please post any instructions or information here. I'll even chip in cash if needed.

    Pioneer s201 for burner.

But my offer still stands if someone will supply the disc.

No point buying another burner at the price they are

OK, If I am able to obtain a disc and you can replicate it I will loan it to you! I'll keep you posted if I get my hands on one. Thank you!

By the way, thanks a lot for the burner information, I got into it and started reading about it. Could you also tell me if you use any special software? What SCSI card do you have? Also is PCIE3 backwards compatible with PCI on most SCSI cards or do I need an older PC?

I really appreciate the info, I'm not trying to make a business out of this or anything, but I may eventually try it at home.

Hey everybody. I got around to reading the disc. Here's the .iso. Let me know if it works. The disc does nothing on a normal pc, but on a panasonic Q you will see a recording of a baby, and then it will beep. Follow the instructions on the image I posted earlier in the thread.

OMG you are amazing, thank you so much! Now, @Bad_Ad84, what would you charge for a copy with your burner? I would like a couple just for good measures.

Also can you elaborate on the instructions?

Send me a picture of the back of your Q's front panel, you mentioned earlier it wasn't working. Probably a torn off resistor during dis-assembly, I can get you the values. Offering you free rails or repair for your Q for a copy of the Service disk, thanks

The front panel is working. Just the disc tray usually needs a bit of a push to get going. Think it needs a new belt?

Sounds like it's belt related, there's belts available on the eBay UK site if you want to go that way.

Actually was replying to Bad_Ads Q, he'd mentioned sometime earlier his front panel was broken.

A friend told me you had another post stating you had a broke Q, probably just a miscommunication. I'm trying to lure you in to lending me that authored Q disc..
