He didn't have either slepty. So far the only folks that claim to have one won't share and won't rip a proper image. The site that sold them apparently just refunds orders. We are stuck waiting for someone who hasn't it to let one of us buy it then send to bad_ad so he can author up some images.

I have done some digging on Region Unlocking very few Panasonic DVD players can be unlocked with Remote codes.. While most other DVD Players are pretty simple .

Yes guys any updates on the ISO? If someone tried it please let us know. I would volunteer to try it on my Q but I currently don't have a DVD remote for it, so inputting the codes would be impossible.

    Sounds great!

Burn a copy and see if you can test it locally (if you have a friend with a Q) or anyone here would be willing to try it through a copy would be great too.

Hi, î just made an account to get în on this, ive been keeping up on this conversation for quite some time. I finally bought a Q, as in at the time of this writing î just won in an online auction. Now î am waiting for the post to bring it to me. I am very interested in making my Q region free for both games and DVD, is this just for DVD or games as well?

I'm pretty certain the service disc is for DVD, and only NTSC formatted discs.
Games have a couple options with various ups and downs. I'll spare derailing the topic for now though.

Yes this is just change DVD region to 0 . There are YouTube videos on how change Japan game region with a switch on GameCube same mod works for Panasonic Q . Good luck the Q is a real PITA to work on !

just getting around to playing with this ISO.
Burnt it with standard burner because I don't have an authoring burner and not completely convinced yet it requires that.
Plays the strange 1 minute video of the naked baby with loud beeps.
I try to follow the instructions that are floating around asking me to go into the display menu, on screen messages, then enter the code.
Problem i now face is that the menu is in Japanese and Im not able to find a translation of the menu screen.
I really dont want to start tearing this thing down at the moment and installing a region switch and qoob pro just yet. Anyone have some more concrete instructions on exactly how many pressed down to select the right menu for the code?

@Bad_Ad84 you up for burning some with an authoring burner yet and sending them out for testing?
Ill pay for postage and discs of course.

If you have a smartphone then you can use the google translate app to translate an image.

Thank goodness. The service disc is pushing it, as it is. Too many Q's were hacked up by shady importers.

I downloaded this image and burned it with ImgBurn couple of hours ago. Burner used for this was a regular DVD-RW -drive in a Lenovo laptop. I was able to enter the mentioned 3192 code to Q and all looked good so far. However, I was not able to test yet if the US-coded DVDs will work correctly. Just because I have only plenty of PAL-discs (which wont work without additional hardware) and few Japanese DVDs (which work anyway).

I was also able to run the beebing "baby-video" from the burned DVD which was also mentioned to be in the Service Disc in some descriptions.

I'll post again when I get at least one disc in my hands which is NTSC and region-locked to somewhere else than JP-area.

I did suspect the authoring burner requirement wasnt needed. Glad to see that it sounds like its working.

In order to access the menu screen on the Q, you need to hold the red writing button near the bottom left, then while still holding down that button, press the top right button. This will give you access to be able to change the Q in to English Writing, or even enable English Subtitles. That's cool since there's lots of great JP movies you could still watch with EN Subs.
