[PC] Silent Hill: The Arcade - PLAYABLE on Windows! + tutorial

No emulation involved, they are just games for Windows XP with, i guess, encrypted executables and some IO issues on retail Windows.

I dont know Supermini Festa! on Arcade but on console pretty much sucks. Nothing to do with the original one on GTI Club hardware, some tracks but they looks worse on new version.

 

Just wait Sega Golden Gun and Operation Ghost with fully support with mouse

Still cannot fix invisible enemy problem in Windows7 sp1 x86. but the boss at Stage1 Area3 didn't disappear. Also found the door invisible at Stage2 Area3 where the key locate in a room but unfortunally enemy still invisible, the game cannot go through

 

There is an exclusive track in Home port of Supermini Festa was Japan stage, you just drive around the expressway that reminiscent of Midnight Run but it's daytime and plus, no minigames involved this track.

What about Lindbergh games? Will it still be possible to play on actual Windows or using Ubuntu for the love of it? Coz I want to play Outrun 2 SP SDX or VF5FS on my PC without buying the XBLA/PSN version.

 

Hi, first time poster here, thanks a lot for the upload. I thought I'd join up to give this game a try. I've got it working with no problems, but I've got one little question through. How do I get the crosshairs to work? If I click on 'KSHG_no_cursor' I get one of those swirling windows 7 icons appear that I can use like a crosshairs and if I click 'KSHG' I get no cursor at all, so I'm firing blind. I've downloaded the crosshairs from the link in the quote below and put the in the relevant folder as instructed - it's just how do I actually toggle them on? Thanks in advance for any replies.

 

Many questions are to be asked if any pc based arcade games will be playable soon. Silent Hill arcade being perfectly playable is one step forward to this as I myself am waiting for most of the GlobalVR games (Need For Speed GT, Paradise Lost, Aliens Extermination (Ho man I will be waiting for this specific game)), Fast and the Furious Arcade (Raw-Thrills), and Target Terror (Gold) (Raw Thrills again). Also, there will be a few new members here (like me) because of this specific thread.

 

This is exactly where the game kicks me out.

Did not work on my other computer which has Windows XP in 32 bit. I should get more memory for the Win 7 64bit Laptop, but that 2gb should have been enough for this game?

Some clarity, maybe a screenshot pointing to that livabcode setting screen? Is it every filter or just the ones in ffdshow Video Decoder, some of which don't have a livavcodec option?

As far as I know, you have to rescue every character in the game and shoot all the hands that appear in the last boss fight. I'm not totally sure about this, since I got stucked in the fight against Robbie the Rabbot, one of them dissapeared and couldn't kill it. Anyone has had that bug of enemies dissapearing or attacking "offscreen"?

 

How do I turn on Autofire? I can't run Game Loader ALL RH because I have Norton Anti-Virus and it refuses me to load it because it considered as a trojan?

 

Spacebar, but it only works on that loader. And no, it's no trojan.

Registered here to download this and thanks for the upload, but like many others the game simply does not work on my end. Crashes when the game loader hits the Security line, and this is with the K-Lite codec pack installed, the C++ package installed, and the fddshow options set in the manager. I am running Windows 7 x64 and tried many different compatibility options and even tried running it with the CPU core set to just one and I still get the crash. Has anyone with Windows 7 x64 got this running yet is my question.

I finally got the game to work but all the enemies are invisible
can someone help?

 

I've been wanting to play this game forever. I'm on Windows 8.1, and without changing anything, the game crashes on launch with an error like someone else mentioned. I set KSHG.exe (and the no cursor version) to Windows XP SP3 compatibility, then the game launches with an extremely quick flash of the boot-up screen (where all the self-tests are performed), then it stays stuck on the following screen:



The FPS alternates around 30 FPS, so I know it's "running", but it's like it's not loading the game files or something. I originally had the files in my Dropbox emulation folder, yet seeing the instructions in this thread, I've tried running it from the root of an alternate drive then even my C drive---all with the same results; it doesn't seem to matter where the game files are, because I always get stuck on the above screen. Pushing the test and service keys I assigned (along with fire and 1p start keys) does nothing. So, it's running, but it's not running. Seems like it's stuck in the arcade's BIOS, of sorts. Running as admin didn't seem to help, nor did Win 7 compatibility mode. I just noticed by right-clicking a few times as it launches to pause and take a small step at a time that it's actually the security test that it abruptly halts on and goes to the above screen.

 

Ok, I managed to get it to work now all of a sudden, I think ShadowX's compatibility suggestion and actually putting it in the root of the C drive made it load past the security portion on my end. This applies to Windows 7 x64 I might add.
