[PC] Silent Hill: The Arcade - PLAYABLE on Windows! + tutorial

How did you get it to run Fandangos, weren't you having the same problem myself and a few other people are having?

 

Like I said, it would be good if someone with the event sounds working themselves (that is, without manually adding the audio to the video files) could check this, and how the game handles this. Maybe waiting enough in the title screen will make the game loop the intro alternatively with both music tracks (no matter which one comes at first), because that what it seems.

It's the attract sequence which explains how to play the game, pretty much like your typical arcade game does. It will appear if you wait enough in the title screen, looping it altogether with the Konami logo, the intro, and the score list.

He was the captain of the "Little Baroness" ship and witnessed the moment when Hanna was thrown to the lake by her mother aboard the ship. I think that's it.

 

Work for me, but I have wrong aspect ratio.
Is possible fix now?
And, no reload button?

No fix for 16:9 now, need to use cheat engine tool + IDA Pro for making custom one, like here:

No reload button, but you can play more faster and easier with "space" button to turn on rapid fire.

It seems to load for me, but I can't get it pass from a screen that shows the amount of credits I have, which is 0. Is there any way of "inserting coins"? Or it isn't working for me?

Still the other characters that you save have absolute no relation to the story.

The basic notion in every Silent Hill game is that you are "summoned" by the city because you need to be forgiven or you need to pay for your crimes.
This isn't what happens with everybody else: the second player, the 2 guys and the girl you save.

 

You can set up all with coins/money system inside system menu, you need to set it to keyboard button first, like i'm said on first post, which for me is 4 number button.

The other characters (Jessie, Bill, Ryan, George) are nothing more than minor characters who have no purpose, other than being friends to save.

Not EVERY character in Silent Hill has "sinned", many of them are simply unlucky souls.

TDLR; 75 years ago, a girl named Hanna suffered from an illness (possibly tuberculosis, which is fatal) and was murdered by her mother who couldn't cope so she threw her overboard the ship, the Little Baroness. Hanna drowned, and was extremely traumatized, and the dark spirits of Silent Hill made the ship "disappear". Eric's great grandpa was the captain of the ship, and Tina has a friend named Emilie who looks very similar to Hanna. The group of university students go to Silent Hill to learn more about the rumors (since the university has an occult club). Hanna's soul still haunts the town, and it's up to Tina and Eric to save her.

ANYWAY...

I think I figured out why the game won't run, the lowest my HDTV resolution can support is 800x600, not 640x480. >_>
If only there was a way to upscale, or force the game to run in a higher res.

Yeah, I mapped the buttons and all, but I can't get that menu to appear. I'll try remapping, but I guess it's some other kind of problem related to mi computer. Thank you very much!

 

System Information:
AMD A4-4300M with ATI HD7420G+7650M (I am already installed latest GPU beta driver version)
windows7 x64 ultimate

In the same place at Stage1 Area2, some "hidden" enemy(should be the position behind me) keep attacking me and I can't shoot it. this glitch happen again at the second boss,stage1, the boss suddenly disappear and keep attacking me

Glad I spread this game HDD image. Now I have a problem.
Spec:
Windows 7 64
ATI HD Radeon 7970
AMD Phenom X4 unlocked to X6

The game exits on boot up. That grey screen with a log check on it. It flashes that then goes back to desktop.
I could really use some help.
Have all MVC++ Libraries installed including SP1s for each.

About troubleshooting with loader... I can't really help, cos for ALL of my PC's (even notebooks, mostly 32 bit win7) working perfect with it! So, i don't know how to fix something cos i don't see any troubles to get this loader running 'out of box', but here is some tips:

• play with default settings and resolution (your monitor need to have support 480p)
• Try to start game from both methods: Game Loader All RH.exe / KSHG_no_cursor.exe (try it in compatibility mode and start exe with administrator right click)
• Install this:
  - K Lite code pack
  - Microsoft Visual C + + 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package
• Try to install second 32bit windows OS or try game on another PC with x86 win os.
• install some commonly used sdk win files, drivers, library, ect, disable any antiviruses, any firewalls, ect, ect
• sound fix and not only...
  - launch DSFMgr.exe
  - then select ffdshow Video Decoder
  - enter Filter settings
  - and turned all the video formats disabled to libavcodec

about game troubles: Well, only thing i can say SH Arcade is hardware incompatible with some pc's system specifications. It's seems like some troubles totally can't be fixed. The only way to try it on another pc over and over again until you will find one, that works - this is true solution.

yea i tired everything. have all MCV +SP1s. 64bit should work since some got it to run. Dont have any 32bit.
*sigh* this is depressing. can get a game that I really want to play to work...

 

Installed another win7 x64 OS in another partition and the glitch that enemy attacking behind you still happen
Next time I will test in my 6yrs laptop(celeron 550 @2GHz, 1Gb RAM, Intel GMA X3100)

 

I'm having the exact same problem. By any chance did you try to run the raw dump before this one appeared? I did, and i'm wondering if that's done something (made a registry entry maybe?) that's causing a conflict....

 

yeah it would just what for the gun import I/O board that didn't exist and sometimes got to the KONAMI screen and crashed. i dont think its a registry error because this is a new installed windows.

 

anybody know how to get the good ending? I always get the "Why didn't you save me?" end....
