Hopefully, I can sell my spare 5200 and Colecovision to get it. I also have a copy of Nester's Funky Bowling CIB I can part with. I played it once and hated it. I'm looking forward to it more so because I'm sick of having to use my old Windows XP laptop just to burn games onto the cart. The NEO program for Windows 7 is a mess and doesn't work very well with my 128MB cart.....
Dude, an everdrive for the PCE might finally give me a good reason to buy a PCE! I already have an Everdrive-MD and i think its awesome! I cant wait to hear more about the PCE Everdrive.
Yes. US region games normally won't play on JP systems but EverDrive will be able to have auto region patching. JP games will play fine on US systems already.
So, autodetection of the console region? Or is selected via ED menu? And I don't recall if it's been mentioned, but will this ED be using Standard or Micro SD?
So will the detection work like the other pce flash card where one side is us pin set and the other is japanese pin set? Be nice to play die hard in english on actual hardware.
here is photo how proto board looks. final board will be almost same, but without small tactile button, jtag connector and without white wire. also i will change sd slot layout in final revision, cuz prototype pcb fit not very good (SD card crossed with power switch)
With the proto going, do you have an ETA? BTW, THANK YOU KRIKzz for taking in my request (I'm sure I wasn't the only one, though).
About JTAG and it's place. Where you have now JTAG normally card will be grabbed by fingers and removed, inserted into console. Is this place remain free of any electronic?
It won't have the JTAG connector when sold. All the EverDrive's have the JTAG connection spot but they don't have a connector soldered on like the prototype. He even stated exactly that the final board won't have the JTAG connector. Glad to see the Turbo ED is making progress.
Yes, all carts does not have JTAG mounted but my question is: Will be safe to but fingers in this place where JTAG pins are for removing/inserting cart?
i recently made street fighter2 mapper, but one of game levels work with terrible glitches (sea port level in USA), but all other levels works fine. i wonder if there need to use some known "tricks" to make it work, or it is just some my mistake somewhere. may be there someone who knows something about pce and sf2 mapper
Ask tomaitheous or Chilly-Willy. They might have ideas. I don't know if this will help any. http://www.romhacking.net/documents/535/ Maybe there is just a hidden bug in how you implemented it since it works mostly. Can you post the information you used and how you handle the SF2 mapper?
