It shouldn't. Again that combination is usually reserved for the game's own soft-reset. Not unless you require that combination be held down for some time.
Thank you for the reply. I believe it is that the button sits too high off the pcb whilst inserted into the devices. Hope this helps.
You can add me to the list of people who will buy this the moment you have the Turbo Everdrive available ! Looking forward to it's release....:applause:
I don't think anyone is keeping a list. But I'm sure there are many people interested in buying the Turbo EverDrive when it is available. I'm sure some people at www.pcenginefx.com/forums/index.php would be interested.
Yep, there are. Many of them purchased another TG-16/PCE flash cart that just got released (it's talked about in the development section of the forum). Unlike the Turbo ED, though, it doesn't use SD cards and can only hold one game at a time. There may be other limitations as well. I haven't followed it closely because I knew the Turbo ED would be out soon.
Yeah, I spotted that thread at pcenginefx.com a while ago, but opted against it. I kept the faith on the turboED being released. Glad I waited.
Ah, that is aimed more at new developments and developers and less at people looking for a Flash Cart to play the existing library.
I have the PCE board that was sold by Totek but it's a pain having to flash new games via the LPT port.I had to keep one of my old computers around just for flashing these boards.I have since bought the Mega Everdrive and Everdrive 64 to remedy this.Only thing left is the Turbo Ed.
I am in the same boat. I have most of Krikzz products but got the Totek one way before he released his carts. Now I have to upgrade and get rid of the old one. It just sucks as it needs a special parallel port and will not work on WIN7
I hope Turbo Everdrivewill be out soon... I really wish I have one on my summer vacation to play with
Hopefully this hasn't been answered already, but has anyone heard about the voltage problem with modded TG/PCE consoles and flashcarts? http://www.neoflash.com/forum/index.php?topic=7289.0 Will the Turbo Everdrive have the same problem with low voltage consoles as those other flashcarts do? My TurboDuo is modded for RGB, but I've never tried it with a flashcart before (my ToTek one died before I modded my console) so I'm wondering if I'm going to run into issues.
Unfortunately that is not known at this time. The device isn't that extravagant, it shouldn't draw a whole lot of power. The Tototek card works on my RGB modded DUO-R console. But I don't have a region modded & RGB modded console. I'd like to get one though. KRIKzz only has the PC-Engine and I think a TG-16. He doesn't have a DUO console or modded DUO console so it won't be until it goes for sale and someone trys it that we will know.
Frankly I have more faith in Krikzz's ability to design a good flash cart than Neo Myth's. I would think the problem here is that the 128mbit neo flash cart uses too much power, rather than a inherent problem with flash carts and low voltage from the console. If anything Krikzz probably has the advantage of using a different design.
i use very high quality parts, which has low power consumption, but they work not in best mode, cuz pce has 5v TTL bus, not 3.3v LVTTL, some power will drain. So i don't know if turbo-ed will work fine with modified duo systems. will see. I can check turbo-ed current and publish the value
Really? Is there an issue like that? Its weird because I have the 128M version (non save version) of the Neo cart and it works fine on all of my PCE consoles (two TG-16, SuperGrafx, PCE DUO, PCE DUO-R, Core-II) all of which are RGB moded... I don't know if it made any difference that all of them have been totally recapped and the 7805 regulator has been replaced with a new one... Or maybe the problem is when you get +5V to power the RGB amplifier from the cart socket (which I never do). I always get +5 either from the expansion port or the out jack. Or it may just be that the guy that reported this issue just has a bad NeoPCE cart.
I think the issue was for people with both RGB and region mods but I'm not sure. Or maybe it was just region mods. It could also just be that the Neo products aren't very good.
My NEO PCE doesn't work when I have it flashed for japanese console but i try to play it on the american console using a converter (JAP to US) cart. It should be working but it doesn't...
