Signed up for the 3 month earlier tonight. Really nice deal, especially with the promo code. Can't wait to try out the pad. Thanks for the heads up.

    I got my controllers today.

    CHEAPLY MADE RUBBISH

So disappointed. There's no way these things are going to stand up to use.

They do look poor. My USB Saturn pad is every bit as good as my regular Saturn pads. :D

Mine has ISS-5001-02 on the back. Bought in Japan fully boxed with instructions in Japanese. Feels 100% like an official Japanese Saturn pad and even has Sega boards inside so I'm sure it's not a Chinese Rip off.

Guess I'm glad I was too poor to jump on that.

Ditto to that Yakumo. I presume the 01 means a second revision and 02 means third. The original was just ISS-5001 apparently.

Really the shoulder buttons are too clicky. I was going to try transplanting, but the screws are being torn apart without moving so I gave that up.

Don't want to hijack the thread much but since we're slightly on the topic, where is the cheapest place to buy a Saturn USB Controller?

eBay. Good luck getting an official one though. ;)

SRK had a thread where people posted sellers of legit ones.

Mine showed up today as well. Does feel a bit flimsy compared to the real Saturn pad. The shoulder buttons feel like they'd probably start sticking or losing their spring after extended play use.

I don't want to have to dig out a Saturn pad to check, but to me they seem noticeably smaller. Maybe I'm just imagining that?

Still... I like it much better than my other usb option, which is a 360 controller. For the price of the subscription and shipping it wasn't that bad. I think it's better than 90 percent of the usb crap made for the PC at least.

I'm not terribly unhappy that I bought it. I'd still probably have bought one even after knowing all this.

Mine has the same number on it, but would be surprised if it was legit, since it didn't come in a box and I bought it last year. The quality is really good though, it feels like my real Saturn pads. That's why I didn't even suspect it might be a bootleg until read about it here.

It somehow feels identical (for the most part, and for practical purposes) to my original Saturn pad (PAL), down to the shoulder clickiness.
